alejandrinus Posted August 26, 2011 Share Posted August 26, 2011 Your "The 30min rules" are a great article, i know the situation of trying to get a 'eavy metal ork army painted and get frustrated after 2 mobs of 20 orks :jaw:, and your imperial fist are very nice. And a couple of cuestions if i may ask: what have you used for the studs on some of "bad-asses" marines conversions? how did you do your dread drop pods conversions, youve got a guide? Redfinger Posted August 26, 2011 Author Share Posted August 26, 2011 The studs are 1mm steel ball bearings. I just purchased a drill bit of the same size. Then during the assembly phase of the model I simply plan out where they will go, then drill the relief hole, put a dot of super glue in with a tooth pick, and whalaa! a stud! The biggest problem is the depth of the hole, making it consistent can be a challenge sometimes. As far as the drop pods go, I have no plans for them...
