Codicier Lucion Posted August 26, 2011 Share Posted August 26, 2011 Recently, as a joke, someone bought me a model of Kaldor Draigo and suggested I use him in one of my forces. After some consideration i've decided to do just that: I'm going to turn him into a trophy. Any ideas on how to do this would be appreciated, but thus far my current plan is to use greenstuff and various bits to crucify him across the front of a land raider. The main problems i'm doing is how to do this convincingly and how to work around his shield arm when placing him flat against the tank, does anyone have any good ideas on how to do this? thade Posted August 27, 2011 Share Posted August 27, 2011 If you're a loyalist chapter, it's easy. Base. Spray paint silver. Paint gold. Wash with Devlan mud. Highlight with gold. Win. If you're a Chaos-type, it's tricky. I'd actually ditch the arms (use them for something else) and then GS/Nurgle/mutate him in a pile of goo to the roof or face of the tank. Instead of giving him one of the given heads, perhaps get the open-mouthed skull from the Boyz kit and stick that in there, paint him up precisely like he's a Grey Knight but char and soot up the head (like it got fried off with fire or acid or something) then goo him on there. He's a trophy, which means he's presumably dead... and somehow I don't imagine mutations and such overtaking his body once he's dead. Maybe my knowledge of the fluff is lacking, though, and that would indeed happen in the warp. What would you suggest, some of the arms from the possessed models? The pose of the model would make it hard to do,maybe destroy the arm to get to his shield and have it at his feet or something... Nah, even space marines know better than to try nailing Iron Hand Straken to a vehicle. The pose of the model would make it hard to do,maybe destroy the arm to get to his shield and have it at his feet or something... That could work. How about having his sword hand sliced off, his shield arm ripped off from below the pauldron and use green stuff to represent what's left of it? Then giving the weapons to a character as spoils of war? But just off the top of my head, I would take his shield and scrap it up and distress it so it looks like it's been through a fight. Then nail/lash/attach it to the front of my lords transport. When painting it, be sure to put Draigo's name on the shield and paint blood on the shield.
