Hello guys, after a good time of playing and thinking, I thought of showing off my Space Wolves miniatures alongside their fluff.

 

So first, I will begin with Squad Volkhan:

Chosen as an aspirant to the Sky Warriors after defeating a Tiger Whale in the shores of Asaheim, Volkhan have more than once displayed an incredible gift for the hunt of Beasts. After ascending to the ranks of the Space Wolves, the young warrior achieved fame between his brothers as “the young slayer”, receiving the title from Ulrik himself, after fighting with him against a Trigon beast that killed half of his pack.

 

His understrength pack kept losing man after man, until only three of them lasted, Magni, a proud and noisy warrior; Balder, a stoic and cold tactician and Volkhan himself. Through ten years the three battle brothers saw a great number of Blood Claws fighting alongside them, just as many dying in the hands of fate. It was during the Battle for the Thunderhalls, a forge in the planet Orelius, that fate finnaly came, stealing the lifes of Balder and Magni, in the form of an Ork Warboss. The death of his pack did not bode well for Volkhan, such was his hatred, he became a Lone Wolf, blessed by the Wolf Priests and wearing the sacred Terminator Armor to seek his so desired revenge.

With a Frost Axe in one hand and a Storm Shield in other, Volkhan killed dozens of Orks until the slayer of his packmates showed up. The Lone Wolf caused so much chaos in the middle of the forge that the Warboss took interest and jumped into the fray to meet face-to-face this “crazie marinez boy”.

 

A brutal and hard fought combat, neither would give up an inch, when the Warboss tried to smash Volkhan to pulp with a powerclaw, the warrior used his massive shield to block the attack, and took the chance to chop the beast arm with his Frost Axe. The creature yelled a terrifying roar, and tried to use his other hand to punch the Lone Wolf, but the when the blow struck, Volkhan felt it nothing, and slayed the beast with one single motion of his blade. With the Warboss dead it was only a matter of time till the Space Wolves achieved victory later that day.

 

For his victory, Volkhan was elevated to the rank of a Wolf Guard, fighting side by side of his Wolf Lord through years to come. One day though, he was requested by Lady Inquisitor Raphaela Quintus to become a member of her Deathwatch Squad, such was his skill and fame at hunting monstrous creatures.

 

His life as a Deathwatch Space Marine taught him well. He became the leader of the squad, commanding the battle brothers to impossible victories, while keeping them steady when demoralized by overwhelming events. After saving the Lady Inquisitor from a brood of genestealers he was rewarded with the Power Fist known as “the Fist of Yrmiron”, and for his service in the Deathwatch, and the knowledge he brought to the chapter, Wolf Priest Ulrik himself gave the revered Combi-Melta “Soaring Force” to the renowned Wolf Guard.

Andreas is a Space Wolf that fights with every resource he have. He is not afraid of fighting dirty, taking every chance he gets to hurt the enemy and ensures that he wins the battle. Many question why such “dirty fighter”, as some calls him, would receive the honor of carrying into battle the Banner of the Red Moon, believe to be blessed by the Red Hunter, the spirit wolf that serves as a shield to Russ whenever he is. Few know the true reason for his way of fighting, save to the high ranks of the Great Company and the squad themselves, few knows that he engages in such dishonorable tactics to protect his battle brothers, such is his care for them. He received the standard after risking his own life to save his brothers from certain death during a boarding action in the “Wounds of Torment”, a chaos vessel carrying more than heretics and Chaos Space Marines, but a warped blessed Demon Prince of Nurgle.

 

The creature was unstoppable, killing brother after brother of the assaulting force, it only stopped the killing spree after Wolf Lord struck his Thunder Hammer in the creature body, making the monster dizzy for seconds, yelling to his troops to retreat. Knowing that his battle brothers would not be able to get out of the chamber without being sweeped by the Demon Prince, the Grey Hunter decided to make a last stand. He grabbed one Plasmagun in one hand, and a lost Plasma pistol in other, and kept shooting the creature until every battle brother got into safety. The demon, enraged by losing his prey and fun, grabbed Andreas and intended to swallow him, but it was either sheer luck, or the watchful eye of the All-father that both Plasma weapons overloaded their cores. He was able to throw the pistol in the creature’s throat, but was too late to throw the plasmagun, therefore he shoved the weapon and his left arm inside the creature’s mouth, and the core exploded the beast head stealing Andreas arm with it.

 

After this victory, Wolf Lord granted the Grey Hunter the Banner of the Red Moon, a symbol that ensures each battle brother in the squad that they are being protected by a mighty spirit, be the wolf spirit that till this day protects Russ, be the fierce spirit that fires in the heart of Andreas.

The “Howling Fist” is an exalted Power Fist once wielded by Wolf Guard Yorgen, when he met his death at the hands of the Aspiring Champion Razzuvius from the Word Bearers, the weapon was lost alongside the planet where they were fighting, Horivar.

 

Rune Priest Torin alongside Wolf Lord were sent by the Great Wolf Logan Grimnar himself to stop a rebellion in the hive world Gehenna Prime. At first, they tought it was a Tyranid invasion again, after all even after the Space Wolves purged the invaders, more than once there were reports of dark cults in the planet. After days investigating, they found a Chaos Shrine hidden in one of the Chapels of the Emperor Ascended. Then war broke out and the Word Bearers Dark Apostle Turcio started the summoning of a dark portal to create a channel to bring more and more forces of demons and Chaos Space Marines to the conquest.

 

Having fought Turcio before, Torin alongside Squad Volkhan hunted the site of the dark portal while the Great Company fought the enemy in the frontlines. Volkhan correctly assumed that, knowing the Word Bearers, they would choose one of the great temples of the Emperor to not only blasphemy the All-father, but also to allows the Dark Apostles to engage in their rituals and sacrifices to the Dark Gods.

 

They stormed the Temple of the Emperor’s Light(once used by a genestealer cult), defeating a great force of traitor guardsmen until they reached the inner circle of the building. There, Torin opened the floor with his shamanistic powers beneath two Chaos Sorcerers while they were distracted, allowing him to crush both with his earth rending, Volkhan assaulted the third and last of the Chaos Sorcerers, becoming struck in a fierce close combat. The rest of the squad was attacked by a dozen Chaos Space Marines, but Andreas used his inspiring presence to boost the pack momentum, turning the tides towards the Space Wolves, however, the Aspiring Champion that was taking care of the site jumped into the fray. When Gunnar looked at the giant traitor’s left hand, he saw the exalted “Howling Fist”, and at that moment he knew that was Razzuvius. His hatred for seeing such a marvelous and master crafted weapon being used by a filthy traitorous scum made Gunnar enter in a state of pure madness. He unleashed a flurry of blows, each being fuelled by his rage, while the Aspiring Champion defended himself from the attacks with some effort and trying to struck a hit on the Grey Hunter with his Power Fist, such was Gunnar speed that every attack the traitor did, Gunnar dodged and quickly made an additional swing with his chainsword. Finally, when the Grey Hunter pierced through Razzuvius neck, he dealt a killing blow to the ancient chaos warrior.

 

With this victory, Gunnar took the “Howling Fist” back, and delivered to Torin, that after the battle closed the dark portal and used his powers over the elements to tear down and purge the corrupt temple. He was impressed by Gunnar skill, and after he took the right precautions to make sure the weapon wasn’t tainted by the warp, Torin rewarded the young Grey Hunter with the “Howling Fist”.

Eirik carries with him a sacred Meltagun since he proved himself capable of not only destroying mechanized forces, but also being capable to survive the most horrible types of combat. Calm and stoic, many within the great company seems him fit for the role of a Wolf Scout, after all, his incredible skill and luck keeps his head over his shoulders instead in end of a Ork choppa, or a Chaos Marine chainsword.

 

To Eirik however, the life of a scout is too lonely; he enjoys spending time with his brothers, specially exchanging jokes with his fellow Astartes Andreas.
