Who's the guy on the cover of Tales of Heresy?

how long is his right arm?

My thoughts exactly. His upper arms are about the length of his thighs... Then again it would be futile to get annoyed on skewed proportions in 40k. The charm and quality if 40k is that it seem to have been made up by 11 year olds -its escapism towards boy hood, but still, that armour and that pose is just too cheesy.... Harrr, I´m a mighty warrior, and I have the biggest weapon in the D&D rulebook. Now I will clench my fists and look angry, haarrrrrr!

A very poor attempt at Angron. Very, very poor.

Agreed, I don't understand why they don't have the artists doing Collected Visions draw all HH covers too.

The Rendition of Angron in Collected Visons is the ticket.

Can someone link the images?

Here you are for Angron, here for Mangus.

Many thanks for the link.

Oh dear. That Angron looks very silly. The World Eaters look excellent though. I see what people mean about Magnus; he looks like he has stick arms; presumably his thick proper arms are obscured by the corona of energy. I hope.

I have no idea if those are his arms or not. But what someone pointed out to me was that if you look at his sides, it looks like his actual arms are there. But what bothers me then is how it just looks like Magnus has a huge torso and tiny legs.

I find that illustration of Magnus excellent for one. His actual arms are not even entirely obscured by the corona of energy, you can see them quite distinctly, especially the hands. And those "stick arms" are the hallmark horns of his armour. Let us be fair to BL that particular drawing of a Primarch is really good.

EDIT: My keyboard hates me.

I hope not, I did not really like the face they put on Sanguinius... or his hair. Or the picture of him kicking. The picture of him holding the deamons head is ok other than the face though.

Speaking of Tales of heresy, I just finished call of the Lion and it was... hmm.. dunno.. What was it about now? Maybe Gav Thorpe was inspired by Seinfeldt -It´s the heresy-short-story about nothing!

I think the point was about the

dissent within the legion

.
