Arikel
You are very modest, I wish i could paint such basic minis. Back to the painting room i guess. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/237515-grey-knights/#findComment-2864604 Share on other sites

Elric the Silvercoat
Are you a painter for your line of work because your "basic" minis make my "great" minis looks like my dog ;) them out? Falconis
Nothing wrong with basic- these look very nice and clean. Questions on the washes used: is that a couple of coats of gryphonne sepia over shining gold and ogryn flesh over the parchment (dheneb stone or bleached bone?) Can I ask how you did the blue/black on the force swords? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/237515-grey-knights/#findComment-2865280 Share on other sites
sioka
Thanks all, I only say basic because there is tons more stuff that could be done to take the paintwork to a better finish. Questions on the washes used: is that a couple of coats of gryphonne sepia over shining gold and ogryn flesh over the parchment (dheneb stone or bleached bone?)Can I ask how you did the blue/black on the force swords? The gold is done with G.W yellow ink (discontinued) over the gun metal grey basecoat, this is then washed with gryphonne sepia followed by leviathan purple finaly a quick dry brush of mithril silver. The blue to black fade is done by blending increasingly lighter colours over the black, this is a long process so was only used for three of the figures.
