darth_giles
Anyone know of an airbrush paint that color-matches to GW's Blood Red? I'm looking at airbrushing my Word Bearers, and I don't want to get stuck the same way I did the last time I tried playing them- the GW "blood red" spray paint was about three shades paler than the matching paint. I still have an old standard bearer in the old blood angels spray... I think officially it was when there was still a colour called Blood Angels Orange! So yeah the old spray is not actually red. darth_giles
Could you not just load up a GW spraygun wih blood red? Thought about it since my airbrush practically is the GW spraygun- and for some reason it seems to like using GW paints straight out of the pot, still not sure why. Maybe because its a large-nozzle single-action piece that can handle the larger particles and thicker consistency? I still have an old standard bearer in the old blood angels spray... I think officially it was when there was still a colour called Blood Angels Orange! So yeah the old spray is not actually red. This was labeled as "Blood Angels Red," but it was really orange. It also doesn't strip easily, which is why I couldn't easily recycle most of my old Word Bearers. chromedog
The old BA red spray wasn't an acrylic spray. It's tough to strip without industrial strength paint removers (which often damage plastics).
