Deathwing.

Hi!

Finally started my Deathwing project now that I've been looking forward to all summer.

 

First, a quick presentation of my goal and view of this project.

It will be foot slogging army up until atleast 2000p. After that maybe I'll start adding tanks or what not. But up until 2000p, it's only terminators and dreadnoughts.

 

Modelling: I'll do just minor conversions and kit bashing but for the most part I'll stick to original bits. However, I have a vision of the terminators all having personality and being it's own figure. Because of that, I'll give every single terminator his own head etc as long as possible. Focusing on heads not wearing helmets to give them personality as mentioned.

 

Painting: I have a recipe gathered from the net for the bone color. Tried it out and liked it. Also, some weathering will go on through out the army. I imagine my particular Deathwing to have been on campaign for a very long time.

 

Basing: After alot of thought I decided on lava bases. However, I didn't want just that ordinary demon-looking lava world as a base. I picture this particular planet they are fighting on at the moment erupting like a vulcano and being engulfed in flames. So, I will try to make it hint of that this actually was kind of an earth-like planet before it went straight to hell. Literally.

That is one sexy dread!! The lava base is real nice too, can't wait to see more.

nice work cant wait to see more :) the ven dread is from? and where do you find the kind of list entry you want to make if i may ask? (rather new to SM)
