bearden441
Well I finished my test armor for my ceramic grey Grey Knights. I wanted the highlights and shadows to be pretty subtle, and I think I accomplished this. Let me know what you think. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-g860OgSC8D0/TmOROELKNrI/AAAAAAAAADE/zUgbDYFN7Vw/s1600/photo.JPG http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Xy2aGiFmWNU/TmORqSUymxI/AAAAAAAAADU/c0e0G8WnJ10/s1600/photo%20(4).JPG Once again apologize for crappy pictures as they were taking with my phone. As always, more pics and thoughts at my blog Gamers Workbench Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/237758-grey-knights-now-with-finished-nemesis-force-sword/ Share on other sites
jimmimellows
I like this a lot, very neat and crisp. I must have to say im not a fan of grey knights but i much prefer them using this grey scheme rather than silver, very nice. csblackhawk
Great Scheme for your Grey Knights, the dark grey contrasts really nicely with the gold detailing on the models. Wish I thought of painting my Grey Knights like this rather then the traditional silver. Look forward to seeing more progress Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/237758-grey-knights-now-with-finished-nemesis-force-sword/#findComment-2866829 Share on other sites
bearden441
do you all think it needs one more layer of highlight? I did an extra layer on the boot tips, top of the shin pads and neck plate. just curious if the highlights are a bit too subtle? Lt.doobie
Its funny you know... The colour scheme seems so obvious, yet this is honestly the first time I can remember ever seeing it. The model has me intrigued and I'd like to see more. Kinda makes me want to make a test model myself, but maybe with some battle damage. By the way, your NMM seems to have improved from the last photo. But the quality of the photos are pretty average so I can't really see that well. Cyrox
do you all think it needs one more layer of highlight? I did an extra layer on the boot tips, top of the shin pads and neck plate. just curious if the highlights are a bit too subtle? Maybe a smidge more highlighting yes Still look great though. I never considered a different colour scheme for GK, but that looks pretty good! bearden441
Thanks again everyone! Yeah the photos are pretty awful, I am working on getting a better camera and should have the full model complete this week (glaciers move faster then I paint) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/237758-grey-knights-now-with-finished-nemesis-force-sword/#findComment-2867508 Share on other sites
bearden441
As mentioned in the title, here is my first attempt at any type of blending using glaze medium and lots of water. Hope you like! http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UBOzyMrIJzo/TmUT2aTfY0I/AAAAAAAAADc/qCugTPDOl2Q/s1600/photo.JPG Still working on getting a better Camera... was looking at a Nikon D60 and might pick it up.
