I love those 3rd party TS's stuff, I managed to get 2 sets plus one of the Termi sets before the GW IP police curb stomped the seller, I've been true scaleing mine, soooo much GS to do, I just hope I can get as nice a paint job on mine as you do on yours.

A big fan of the 1k Sons here too, I've been watching this thread and love your work!

I'm making some pre-Heresy 1k Sons myself actually though don't have access to such snazzy bitz.

Interesting! What miniatures are you thinking of basing them on? IG regiment? One of the Necromunda gangs?

Very interesting. One day I might consider a pre-Heresy army, but I really don't know which legion to choose and besides, I have my own Chapter to build first.

The way those guys on the last page are standing on their bases looks a bit awkward though.

Also, damn you and your omelet, I need to get lunch.

Not sure. It was just an idea from reading the Novels. I only remember the description of purple and gold great coats but please if you have more info let me know as i cannot be arsed hoaking through the book! The Vostroyian first borns all have great coats but also fur hats and handle bar maustchios! whereas cadians just look generic imp guard.

Little bit of painting tonight, 2nd highlight on red and third highlight on gold just a few more to finish.

i like to imagine a lone unit and few tanks broke out and made it to the final defense. I think all i want is an excuse to use a baneblade...

Ok, lets say that. And they took their Tzeeench marked dreadnought with them because Dorn knows nothing about chaos symbol after all or most probably the Changer of Ways thought id could be a good joke to make khornate loonies believe 1k sons took the wall before them :cuss.

Hmmm you want to play with a Baneblade, magic-control one !

I got a load of bases today and some tamiya clear red for some cool gore!

The big base is a 100mm which is huge compared to the normal dread base but i think you are allowed to put minis on a bigger base than supplied but not smaller. Can anyone clarify?

So hope to put some shots of my Hq choice later.

Bit of building tonight.

Concept of this is a powerful sorcerer thinks he is in control of his powers. In reality every step he takes is guided by tzeench.

Finecast mini is not too bad but had to open 2 boxes!

What does the forum think?

That is so cool!! I love the puppet concept.

I think the legions used baneblades, pre-heresy. There are pictures of different legion Baneblades in 'Collected Vissions'. So you could just make a TS Baneblade no worries :)

I don't really get why GW keeps shutting down all the third party providers. If anything it encourages people to be involved in their game and thus generates more profit... I might be missing something though.

Me either, imo, GW should just buy'em out and make additional revenue.....but I guess the pricing would become unreasonable...

I know i used third party stuff but i still had to buy a box of Chaos marines for the arms legs and guns!!

So in reality GW lost NOTHING from my purchase lol.

Thanks guys, i got the mini yesterday and had to build him even though i am still painting. Some more work on the dreadnought but have to work today, 3 WHOLE HOURS in a swimming pool. Easy!

This is the first time I've seen any of those third party bits, and I am absolutely devastated that the first time I see them is after they're gone.
