Though you'll need to buy the LR from your heavy slots, as they are not dedicated transports. The exception to this being Blood Angels, who can take Land Raiders as dedicated transports for many units in the codex. Why would there be a rule that says LRs can take normal Marines. They are transports and so can take any infantry unit. There are additional rules on the transport of Terminators in that they take up two spaces each. In fact, Land Raiders are very liberating out of all transports in the Marine Codex, as the Rhino and Razorback specifically deny Terminators.
