Having stripped down some of my other projects, i've my meagre resources into this project (should anyone recognise the bitz) This is the start of a marine errant Truescale force, i started with the Vet sgt who be joined by a squad of Dark Void Elites very soon.

as always crit/comments welcome.

Cheers for looking :)

I think the ermine cape is a little too much, in that, there's not enough of it. If it were a full cloak or similar, no problem, but it looks a little silly when it's that small.

Other than that, excellent face, excellent armor. Though, that purple line on his face, is that a scar, a wound, or a shadow?

Crazy smooth job on the legs. Any tips on how to get my guys to look like that?

Great overall.

- Natanael

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's Huron's head, with a scar?

Looking super sweet dude, I wish I could get my legs that smooth.

Cheers,

Jono

cheers, i used a small file and knife to scrape the legs once the GS was ready. As for the 'cape' its not really a cape or cloak as such, i just faniced doing it rather than having prayer cloths and the like. I got the idea from the Emperor vs Horus pic, both the emperor and sanguinius have have pelts on their armour.

Yeah, he's actually wondering who parked a rhino in his space.... again

The head is indeed that of huron and the scar is part of the sculpt, i just emphasised it to look fresh.

I removed the pelt from his backpack and will change the pics in my next update.

The rest of the squad are underway, i may show their current state during a break.

cheers

I actually liked the lion pelt. It just required more sense of motion to look right, I think.

But in regards to the model, she's a beaut. Your Novamarines were very professional, but the Marines Errant are begging for attention. I'm actually thinking of stealing elements of their color scheme for my DIY, it's so damn fine. ^_^

The caption for the sgt actually reads - "C'mon guy's, this :) aint funny anymore" after finding yet another lapdancer in his meditation cell.

Looks great so far. How do you reposition the arms to get a bolter held like that? And what arms do you use? My guys usually have a CCW in one hand and the bolter in one since I havent bothered trying to get the arms like this. But it looks really nice...

The arms i used for the bolter marine are termie assault arms, thunder hammer and storm shield. I cut the right arm above the elbow and turned the lower arm inward, i had to shave the joint to an angle before re connecting it. There was abit of a gap because i did it roughly but some GS sorted it. the hands are from PA bifz. The left arm didnt need adjusted on that one but have on the others i've done. Do plenty of dry runs to get the positioning right. It was my fist attempt.

All insignia is to be added, including the purity seals, i'm just wondering if i should buy custom decals or put my faith in FW... :cuss

I'm looking to get smaller bases aswell, 30mm perhaps.

The Marines Errant were blue and white but this seems to have been changed to the sliver and blue i've pained them in. See the IA9 book or search online.

Hey man, for insignia's I reacon hit Lamenter up for some of his GS moulds, it may take some looking but there's a vid on his websie Master of the Forge.

For bases, definitly recommend 30mm bases, it's what i use for my TS marines, here's a size comparison pic,

As you can see there's still a distinct size difference to Termi bases. I get mine from ebay store Big Lemon UK in lots of 20 for a rather acceptable price.

Cheers,

Jono

The Marines Errant are meant to be white and blue aren't they?

saying that, i really like the halved silver/ blue scheme you have going on =]

White is the heraldic color for white metals such as iron/silver etc, so i imagine one could be bold and paint them metal/blue and still say they are "white" and blue. But what do I know. I like it.
