I figured I'd post some quick images here of the WIP to entertain my fellow wolves. What's with the head, tho? Did this guy get flashed in the face with a melta? :) EDIT- Whats the brown thing in between his legs? And while I don't get the mutilated facial structure since it resembles a melting genestealer more than a human, I think it is done very well. -Edit- I think a nose would help. @Volsung: It's the flesh-toned backside of the pelt behind him. Any chance you could drill a human nose cavity or bone structure to give it that horribly maimed/burned but human look. Oh those pesky mold lines, I see that you have your undercoat which makes it very difficult but please make em go away. Ash Tekka Posted September 7, 2011 Author Share Posted September 7, 2011 I wasn't sure what the head was from since I found it in the bottom of a bits box. When I saw it though I definately thought it looked like a horribly burned face that had healed weird. I was thinking his story would be that being the last of his pack he has hunted for a glorious death but has never managed to die so his body his horribly damaged inside the suit but still functioning. I figured he's started lossing his mind a bit with the damage so he covers himself in trophies of his slain enemies trying to entice death to finally take him to be with his pack. @Vrox. The only ones I see left are along the inside of both the arms, from torso into the weapon itself on the right hand. Looks like he got some of it, but the shape of the arm may be skewed from a pseudo-bad molding. Just means he'd have to cut/scrape into the model a little deeper to get rid of it. Unfortunately looks like you might of been using some old spray paint, or got it a bit to close to the model, the bubbling on the right shoulder. Lick of paint with a brush might clean that up. Lick of paint with a brush might clean that up. kinda works with the model though being all scared up and what not, could be that the same melta damage that got his face did that to the armor. Lick of paint with a brush might clean that up. I assumed those were GS shoulderpads and just cracking that happened as it dried (kinda like what you see on the edges of dried playdough). Either way, a slightly thicker application of paint thinned with some acrylic medium would abolish that texture... or could just scrape it off that spot, since I don't see it anywhere else. I also vote Yes for a nasal cavity and removal of his ork "hoodie". I looked at the model again when I got home, that spot is barely even visible but apparently really sticks out in photos:) Of course now that its been pointed out that's all I can see when I look at it.
