Iv always had a problem finishing off armies so i figured this time around if I do a blog about it I might get it finished. With my deathwing army and blood angel army all primed up waiting for me to be bothered to paint it I had a epiphany one night and decided to start working on a crimson fist army. Read a bunch of there fluff and I love them. There like the poster boys apart from the Ultra-Smurfs. I always remember the crimson fists last stand on the space marine codex. I decided I really wanted to take my time building this army and pimp it out as much as I could. Forgeworld and reposing / random bits here and there to really make a nice looking display army that when finished looks nice and solid. Going to try and go for the whole "no marine the same as the other" look. Lets see how we go. After heading down to GW I got 2 spare ones mailed out to me a few days later. When FW arrives ill be using the Old school Plasma gun and the Vet will be getting the nice pimped out Power Fist. Here are some pictures of my Predator that I built tonight. Not finished but I decided to magnetize the whole thing so I can make it either a Rhino, Razor or Predator. Able to switch it from rhino > razorback > predator with any weapon load out. I do have a bunch of forgeworld dozer blades... Azure Blue and a different shade of azure blue, went with the darker shade. I don't need no ultrasmurf fists http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v649/damienkirby/6e9e04f9.jpg And underway I went! The first 5 marines are all hit with the blue. At first I was trying to avoid hitting the chest and cables etc and covering them with blue tac but I got over doing that fast as I was missing some of the armor. My technique so far what I was thinking was Undercoat white Airbrush blue Re do areas black Silver of black Wash Highlight blue ... Good luck with that....as I have been building my Imperial Fist 5th Company I have been trying to do the same, I was good with the first 50 or so marines, but after that is starts to get hard. If you need inspiration head over to me blog, you will some of my "bad ass" marine conversions, might help when you run out of ideas.
