red_starrise
I like it. I did something very similar a few years ago combining the SM kits w/ the Knights of the Realm kit to make crusaders. Your link to the IA article is broken though so I'm not sure much of the background on these guys besides what you've posted. Question: you say their families armor. Does that mean that there's a certain recruiting practice where "knights" are drawn from certain bloodlines each generation or so? That sounds pretty cool there & could even justify female marines. And guys, just cause I SAID female marines, let's not start that debate here k? Please? Anyway, tell me more. Being an IF player I love to hear about our successors. kapturowski
Great use of bitz, I really like knightly looking Space Marines. The helmets work very well with the Terminators especially. Your Champion makes me think of Monthy Pythons black knight. None shall pass! :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/238056-the-order-of-dorn/#findComment-2870718 Share on other sites

tiny sam
Great model, I realy like the effect of the MK III head on terminators! the fluff however would be better suited in the Liber Astartes their you will find reviwers and helpers who could help you improved and finalize your Chapter and eventualy, who knows might be have your own librarium articles! red_starrise
I'm liking this alot. The blend of knightly pieces adds alot of flavor to your chapter. It really helps your minis to match your fluff. I also really like your fluff, it's so different from so many of the canon chapters. Please post more in the liber forum cuz I'm dying to learn more about your chapter & post more pics, I'm dying to see how your color scheme & chapter organization unfold. Cleal Baros
More to come on the fluff side in the morning, 2.0 of their liber article is just about done and the painting is now well underway, silver base is on a most have been washed. But having agreed to an Apoc game last week only a few months back into the hobby and lacking the points needed I set myself the difficult task of building a 'two day titan'. Yes he's rough and ready (to say the least) but I'm quite happy with how he's come together after just a couple of days and less than £15. More work to be done and posted along with the marines. End of Day 1 http://img51.imageshack.us/img51/1376/an1g.jpg Uploaded with ImageShack.us By Lunch Day 2 http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/8240/an2w.jpg Uploaded with ImageShack.us Just a bit of fun, more to come on the Order of Dorn later int he week. Brother Pheidias
Nicely over the top. The only thing that irks me is the somewhat humongously mahoosive head-dress of the deer-guy. The fella with the Lascannon looks really great, though I really want to see more painting to be honest  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/238056-the-order-of-dorn/#findComment-2887539 Share on other sites
Cleal Baros
As promised a few pictures of the army now that it’s based and airbrushed. I’m really happy with how the burnished armour’s come out but must admit that getting it photographed is a real pain. Think I might need to buy a camera that doesn’t try to digitally focus. It's far too infuriating to watch the miniature appear in perfect focus only for the camera to move on and settle on a blurred mess! http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/9266/gedc0305o.jpg By cleal_baros at 2011-10-05 http://img855.imageshack.us/img855/3480/gedc0306.jpg By cleal_baros at 2011-10-05 http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/6788/gedc0307.jpg By cleal_baros at 2011-10-05 http://img560.imageshack.us/img560/3879/gedc0308.jpg By cleal_baros at 2011-10-05 Army Shot – http://img249.imageshack.us/img249/6941/gedc0311.jpg By cleal_baros at 2011-10-05 Those are about the best images I could get, any help, comments, etc on the minitures of the photographs would be most appreciated. Kierdale
Excellent use of bitz! The burnished armour is, as you said, nice...if a little plain/dark. The decoration, squad/company heraldry should add some nice colour to them. Looking forward to seeing more. And what you do with vehicles! Glendor
http://img51.imageshack.us/img51/1376/an1g.jpg Louen Leoncouer calls to a peasant bowman, "Peasant take of that monstrosity, its in the way! The knights of the realm cant get through!" Peasant responds, "Sir? Perhaps a Lord with Virtue of Heroism and the Heartwood lance would make a better choice than me?" "Nonsense! You will do just fine. Shoot it in the leg!" The Kings shouts. Peasant Bowmen walks toward the monster... "Page get me another bowman" whispers the King, "I don't think that ones going to make it." . . . SPLAT!!! "Yes maybe that is ineffective...at least they are expendable" That's what I thought of when I saw the picture lol Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/238056-the-order-of-dorn/#findComment-2893476 Share on other sites
Andrew J
I really Really love your use of bitz. Probably the best mix of armors and bretonnians I have seen before. Cleal Baros
Parts slowly arriving for the two crusader squads I've vowed to complete in the LPC http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/8808/img1179tm.jpg By cleal_baros at 2012-01-12 So Far; MKIII Marines (Arrived) Pre-Heresy Bolt Pistols (Arrived) Bolt Pistol Arms (Dispatched) Brettonian Heads (Distpatched) Scibor Shoulder pads and Small Shields (Dispatched) Hopefully by next week I can crack on, I've got some WIP pictures on the painting but atm most of the models are in that inbetween stage that looks awful when photographed up close. http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/1908/img1164qt.jpg By cleal_baros at 2012-01-12 http://img853.imageshack.us/img853/9184/img1166t.jpg By cleal_baros at 2012-01-12 http://img716.imageshack.us/img716/4209/img1167hu.jpg By cleal_baros at 2012-01-12 http://img714.imageshack.us/img714/7696/img1175l.jpg By cleal_baros at 2012-01-12 Thought I;d retake these shots now that I have the better camera. http://img571.imageshack.us/img571/6208/img1160uf.jpg By cleal_baros at 2012-01-12 http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/7348/img1161na.jpg By cleal_baros at 2012-01-12 http://img641.imageshack.us/img641/2167/img1162p.jpg By cleal_baros at 2012-01-12 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/238056-the-order-of-dorn/#findComment-2965973 Share on other sites
Cleal Baros
Just a brief update on the Titan front. Having it sat there all this time meant I couldn't help but go back to it. Plan is to re-cover the hull in plasticard, attach the FoR parts that are currently tacked and then move onto the more intricate details. Ferrum Eques http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/7438/photoyoo.jpg By cleal_baros at 2012-01-13 She may not be up to the standard of most Titan self builds but so far she's only taken about 8 hours in total to build and at 26" tall she'll do the job in local apocalypse games. The head is going to be completely replaced but thus far I don’t know what by. What you guys make of her? Rough and ready I know lol. AGPO
I love the marines, where are the resin knights' heads coming from?
