Currently looking for ideas for the Space Marine game

With limited slots I'd have to write down what I did to keep track of Armor and Paint Selection, and I'm in the process of unlocking the armors still.

 

Still, I'm currently doing my own projects in the absence of my Chaos units (disbanding them) back home.

 

So, I've started playing Space Marine (Xbox 360). Beat the game, etc etc multiplayer. I do like some Chapters people have, and I do like the decent selection of chapters they put in, and warbands. There is a good portion of weird half jobs, and Smurfs.

 

As of right now, I'm still working on the Invaders Chapter, and putting the finishing touches on the Space Sharks. I've been working on Pre-Heresy Traitor Legion Space Marines, and so far have finished the Night Lords and Death Guard. I plan on doing the World Eaters and Emperor's Children next.

 

Chaos Marines I've only completed the Thousand Sons. I might be doing Night Lords, because they are surprisingly absent with TS (probably more complicated to flesh out). However, there Legion symbols are available in the selection.

 

Now, the painter uses the actual Citadel Paints, so it's somewhat easier for me to get canon colors in. They have pattern selection , which goes for quartering or halving, and a culture/spray for Chaos, but it does not have a Camouflage option.

 

My biggest gripe is the small selection of Badges for both the Warbands and Chapters. There are currently 31 Chapter pre-made Schemes, with Pre-Order Deluxe schemes for the Black Templars, Space Wolves, and Blood Ravens (PC Only I believe). There are 16 schemes for Pre-made Warbands, with deluxe schemes for the Emperor's Children (currently using) and Iron Warriors. For completing the Single Player campaign, you unlock a deluxe scheme for the Ultra Marines, and the Chosen of Nemeroth (New Warband for the Single Player campaign). The badges included are for the Chapters and Warbands present, with a few recolored badges for the Loyalists. The Chaos Space Marines do have all of the Legion badges for the Legions that do not have current Armor Models, or pre-made skins.

 

As something funny, I've done Loyalist and Chaos paints on Angry Marines. Also..I don't have a camera.

 

I'd list what's available but this is more about Paint projects using the game's painter, not discussing whats in the game.

Where is the option to change the pattern from half to quarter. I cannot see it. I just get pattern on/off. Really wanted to get my Chaos into a quarter scheme to see how it would look.

I have to say I was totally disapointed that a Loyalist chapter that has been in every SM codex since Rogue Trader was NOT represented in the SM customizer. Not even a decal for the Silver Skulls. But if you use the Black U icon with the skull, on a black shoulderpad, I have managed to pull off the SS scheme fairly accurately. Now if I could just get some decapitated heads of my enemies, I'd be set! :D

You have to physically go to each piece of armor and verify if you want to change up the color scheme. Unfortunately you can't get a good half/quarter paint on Chaos, the Chest Piece and head stand out from it.

 

Basically, Set the Loyalist into Pattern, and then edit the colors on the arms and legs for a quartering.

 

I almost forgot about this topic, can we get this moved to Other Games?
