so i didnt know where to post this because of all the elements in this.

My basic idea is to make a Libby look like a Inquisitor, i havnt decided which order though

i want to use the Blood Angel codex because i really like Blood Claws (assult marines) and they suck in the Space Wolf codex,

also so ill have access to the close combat dreadnought (cant think of its name at the moment) and i love Stormravens.

To make it more fluffy i could say that the red thrist on the Blood Claws is actually Mark of the Wulfen.

also on a more fluff standpoint since Inquisitors have supreme power and can do whatever they please. the Inquisitor is going to a forgeworld to protect a titan from a xenos invasion and he believes that only the glory hungry Blood Claws will be able to succeed in this, along with the help of a few Wolf Guard because Logan Grimnar insisted they go. i know this is a complete ripoff of the space marine game but this is a place holder until i think of somthing else.

Messy, very,very messy.

1st either use the SW codex and roll with bloodclaws or use the BA codex and roll with their assault marines....DON'T MIX CODEX/CHAPTERS! It's messy.

2nd spacewolves being lead by a Inquisitor???They (spacewolves) hate outside interferance. I don't know about the BA's and how they interact with the ][.

3rd IF the sw's sent a crack team to protect a titan it wouldn't be bloodclaws.(just my opinion).Scouts maybe, proberbly gray hunters but young uns???

At the end of the day they are your models, it's your game and your fluff so you can do as you like but for me your concept is just plain messy.

Well, the Space Wolves novels (I believe it was Ragnar's Claw) had a Blood Claw pack under an Inquisitor's command. It should be noted that this was an EXCEPTIONAL circumstance, however- the Inquisitor had previously saved Logan Grimnar's life, and the Great Wolf lent the Inquisitor a Claw as repayment, when the Inquisitor asked for help on a mission to save his homeworld. Before you include Blood Claws in an Inquisitor's retinue, find a DAMN GOOD REASON for the Great Wolf to lend his men to the Inquisition- and include a Sergeant, to keep the Blood Claws in check.

Oh, and let's not mix rules, e.g., force Space Wolves to confirm to the Blood Angels' codex.

:D thanks for the replies

what about a blood angels successor chapter that wears pelts and bones and stuff and i come up with my own chapter name and fluff?

could then a inquistitor (count as libby) run with them to make sure they arent heretics (at work and cant think of any other word at thsi time) due to the instability of the BA gene seed?

...Okay. Let's take this one step at a time.

First off let me just say, please do not mix together codices and let that be the basis of your fluff. It's a terrible idea and it just does not ever work out. I don't even play the tabletop game. I'm trying to develop my own Chapter independent of codices and special rules that would arbitrarily dictate how my Chapter behaves.

also on a more fluff standpoint since Inquisitors have supreme power and can do whatever they please. the Inquisitor is going to a forgeworld to protect a titan from a xenos invasion and he believes that only the glory hungry Blood Claws will be able to succeed in this, along with the help of a few Wolf Guard because Logan Grimnar insisted they go.

Inquisitors have supreme power... in theory. In practice, a smart Inquisitor will ask nicely if some Astartes will work with him. Inquisitors are not to be crossed, but neither are Astartes.

So let me get this straight. Xenos are invading a forge world, and this Inquisitor thinks the only way to save the forge world is to recruit a bunch of blood claws, which are by definition the youngest and least experienced Space Wolves. And a couple of Wolf Guard because Logan Grimnar insisted they go. Even though Logan Grimnar despises the Inquisition and wants nothing to do with them.

And all this despite the fact that a Forge World is by definition the domain of the Adeptus Mechanicus and will be heavily defended by armies of cyborgs and Titans.

i know this is a complete ripoff of the space marine game but this is a place holder until i think of somthing else.

Which is why you should scrap this idea immediately.

I like Relic. I have Company of Heroes on my laptop. But I've been watching Space Marine on gameanyone.com. Relic tends to play fast and loose with 40k canon, which is something I don't appreciate at all.

My advice is familiarize yourself with the 40k franchise so you don't write down something silly and run afoul of hardliners like myself.

Sure do whatever you like, so long as it's logical, makes sense, is internally consistent and consistent with the greater 40k universe.

The inquisitor would need a really,

really
good reason to be running around with a Chapter watching their every move, otherwise the chapter would get pissed and tell him to leave. If you were a Chapter Master, would you appreciate an Inquisitor breathing down your neck and interfering with the running of your Chapter?
