So here I am just starting my first 40k army(well I bought most of em in mars but still), Imperial fists, because I love thier lore and figured yellow would be a challenge and help me improve my painting to boot. Oh and the thing next to him is the banner that's going on top http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/k561/fenixauriga/Dreadnoughtback.jpg Elongated the pipes on his back a little bit, they're really stumpy on the AOBR dread for some reason Also this is what my models look like after one coat of Bubonic brown :D Veteran Sergeant (Tactical Squad I) http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/k561/fenixauriga/VeteranSergeantAuriga.jpg And a free hand "Iron Skull" on his fist http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/k561/fenixauriga/VeteranSergeantAurigaIronSkull.jpg Captains banner http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/k561/fenixauriga/CIMG0620.jpg Just a tiny conversion to make the captain feel more like a fist Since people seem to ask whenever there's a Imperial fist thread up I'll get it out of the way (though I'd have to admit my yellow only decent at best) My Recipe For Yellow: Black primer 2 thin coats Bubonic Brown 2 thin coats Sunburst Yellow highlights 1/1 Sunburst Yellow /Skull white mix Extreme highlights, Bleached Bone wash with Gryphonne Sepia, use a cotton swab to clean up; only leave the wash in recesses Nothing in here is finished WIP and all but the tactical squad + sergeant is pretty close and sorry about the poor quality of the pictures I'll get a better camera for the next update Comments & critique welcomed.
