So hi brothers I finally need to get lurking and stealing ideas and posting some of my own stuff.

Also I am currently having a small fight with myself over an army idea. I want to make chaos space wolves but I can't decide which codex I should use. I know that really SW are superior but I am being lured by demons and more fun on the conversions side of things. Someone help me figure myself out here.

Anyway I currently play BAs and though nothing is painted yet I am going to start posting things.

First off the 1 chaos/space wolves model I have done

with magnetized arms

also currently working on a diorama inspired by the "cover is for the weak" space marine advertisements for the new game

Well there are to suggestions I might give which are...

1: There's Thirtieth Company (which has a nice chaos'ish feel to them and you can use the current wolves dex)

Link:http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/13th_Company

Or 2: Skyrar's dark wolves are the closest thing to chaos wolves (fluff wise with little background to them an i would recommend the CSM dex to em)

Hope that helps...

@ grotsmasha I'm not sure what here is considered "old models" except maybe I guess the AOB warboss. The marine is DC bits because that is how I am going to paint him up.

@yeager I was debating about the 13th but the problem there is sure while they use some chaos armor it loses the ability to have mutations and demons. Which is the part I'm up in the air about. I'm not too horribly concerned about fluff and was thinking about something along the lines of what this guy over at GW did huge link incoming.

Ok here is my counts as Dante and the guard as troops choice he will come in with. my thought as I built this was "I'm Dante I don't scatter I land right where I please as do the men who drop with me."

well today I made a tiny bit of progress on the diorama but now I need some opinions on it.

first the little progress

Added in the guy leaping the wall

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i311/Brizix/20110919190540.jpg

the problem I have is the amount of unused space in front of the wall. I want to fill it up a bit but not detract too much from the jumping guy or the marine coming out the door. Since those are the only thing really visible in the picture that inspired the whole thing. I understand the idea of a diorama is to use as little as possible to convey what is going on but this is a lot of empty here.

what do I do ? Fill it with greenskins ? dead bodies ? Admit it was my first diorama ever put the warboss on there and call it a lesson learned on too much space ?

Firstly, sorry for the nonsense comment, it was meant for another thread.....which recieved your comment.... :D

What I meant to say was I hope your gunna load up all that empty space with butchered gretchin and orks.

Secondly, Hell Yes load up that space with butchered bodies, maybe some gretchin who a fleeing away from the wall, and maybe move the Warboss so that the gap between him and the SM is halved and rotate him a little more.

Maybe a wounded guardsman (occasionally Orks hit stuff...)

Cheers,

Jono

hah! Grot I JUST realized when I clicked some of the stuff at the bottom of your sig that you are doing the guardsman getting his face beat in by the SM.

I totally intended on stealing that at some point for fun. No wonder you want the whole thing covered in dead bodies.

I think the problem is the diorama is a little to wide which kind of throws the focus off a bit. I would lose the part offf to the left of the main scene. Quickly knocked this up hope you dont mind. i dont know how hard it would be for you to move the actual building pieces but if you can have them more central I think it would frame the piece a lot better and also lose some of the dead space. Another suggsetion is to maybe have a couple of ork corpses beside the boss. Make it look like he is tha last man standing bellowing a challenge to the poncy oomies!
