bulley
I finished these boys a little while ago, but I plan to bosh them on eBay and wanted to have a thread to show them off for the listing! Bit of a long post - some of these models have been touched up and finished since, but these are good enough photo's! BELIAL CONVERSION! You'll notice each terminator squad has a "small conversion" in the helms, but the command squad has some form of re-modelling or reposing on each model. I took a lot of pride in the painting of the bases as well, to create a very striking contrast with the coolness of the green/blue armour. COMMAND SQUAD CONVERSIONS: SQUAD ONE (FORMER COMMAND SQUAD!) SQUAD TWO: SQUAD THREE: SQUAD FOUR: And now onto the bike squads. Each one has the Sergeant converted from a metal grey knight. They are all WYSIWYG now with grenades! What army would be complete without its own custom objective markers! Funnily enough, these often draw peoples eyes in before the likes of my Belial model or the other terminators, they do stand out on the table top! THE GHOSTLY FALLEN YOUR HUNTING! So thats the army - 1750 points, all done, dusted and packed away! Zincite
Very nice work! I presume that these are a successor chapter rather than actual Deathwing? The 'ghostly' fallen is a very good idea. bulley
haha yeah we need a rematch of that game ... the result was most ... unsatisfying for the blood god. @zincite - they sort of made a couple of evolution, orginially my own chapter, then a sort of GK variant, then sort of disciples of caliban, I just ended up with them as DIY successor thats green with cool helmets! Emperor's Instrument
Man those objective markers are sick, how'd you achieve that effect? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/238491-bulleys-completed-deathwing/#findComment-2896928 Share on other sites
bulley
Actually really simple technique! Made up the models as usual Prime w/ GW Skull White Spray Thrakka Green Wash - Watered down about 50/50 - 2 coats - slowly apply it neatly - it only takes a minute or two to actually finish the model so no rush. If the models look a bit "off" they can be cleaned up with: To "highlight" I just got dark angel green and added a ton of skull white to it, (or add a dot of green to massive load of skull white) and watered it down a lot - then just gingerly applied it to the highest area's that would be hit by light, not line highlights. Final bit can be just pure skull white. Super simple, most of the time the straight wash will do it. Then I just painted the base black and went about it. Super easy way to paint an army as well.
