My version of Harald Deathwolf, the thunderwolf is from Mythicast, he was painted before they released The Wolf Lord Mount.

Gnight...

Brother Mjollner

Agreed. I'd consider a less "yellow" yellow for the tank.. leaning more toward yellow-ochre. Your basing and painting looks pretty spiffy, though Harald's axe could use some love.

As for the pics themselves, they're not too big.. if anything, the bigger the better, so long as it's in focus.

The land raider isn't quite as yellow as it looks, pics were taken in my workshop, under 4 separate halogen lamps. Thanks for the feed back though..

These look good, from what I can decipher :D

The colours look a little flat, but that could be due to the photos/lighting, etc. more than anything else.

Have you washed the areas, to bring depth to them?

I think it is the photos to be honest.

When photographing, I think it is worthwhile clearing the area around them, so things like paints, other minis, etc. do not distract from the mini being photo'ed.

A sheet of paper behind and underneath the mini in a curve, can be a great way of dispersing light and giving a nice tofu background, so the mini is the centre piece. Kind of like how restaurants serve their meals in the middle of a white plate for presentation purposes.

How do you like the Vallejo paints, compared to the GW ones? Do you use any other brands?

I really like neat painting, and you have certainly done that. Yellow is also one of my favourite colours, and yours looks clean and with good coverage, which is hard with yellow.

Very nice :D

Well these were quick photos with my iPad in my workshop, not proper camera shots, my digital camera has been missing in wife's care for sometime now. I like the Vallejo paints a lot! I bounce between those and gw paints all time depending on what I'm doing. Vallejo brushes if you can find them are well worth the investment. Their fine detail brush set is the best quality I've seen.

Inspired by another thread in this forum about Wolf Priests and how you model them, I started my Wolf Priest in Terminator Armor this weekend. Only the bone bits and most of the bronze detailing is done, and the head of his rozarius (spelling?). The Yellow shoulder and shield will need to be done, my dry brushing on the bronze bits got a little outta control. Even if I never play with a Wolf Priest in Terminator Armor, I think he looks pretty badasss...

Brother Mjollner.

My version of Bjorn, also awaiting Primer. I always hated the lightning claw on the old Metal version, looked to bulkie to me, the Arms are Magnatized, and of course the lightning claw arm is crooked :: sigh:: so before he's primed I need to fix that and add a flamer to the arm, I'm also kinda smackn my self in the head here because I'd already added the storm bolter to the sarcofagus don't wanna risk trying to pry it off... I also have a pelt to add to the lightning claw arm.

gallery_55320_6499_177314.jpg

Once again pics taken with my Ipad, ( I gotta find the digital camera)

gallery_55320_6499_129138.jpg

I'm considering highlighting the Wolf on the left shoulder pad with maybe a codex grey and and throwing some codex grey and orange highlights into the pack markings on the right shoulder pad, anyone have an opinion?

gallery_55320_6499_210095.jpg

I'm not entirely happy with the pelt on the back, anyone have any suggestions?

gallery_55320_6499_85620.jpg

Thanks for looking... Brother Mjollner...

I'd deffinatly go with the codex or fortress grey on that wolf shoulderpad. as for the pelt, are you unhappy with the painting, or the modelling? if it's the painting: the best looking wolves I've seen painted so far where whitepelted. (skullwhite, badab black, skullwhite highlights and a wee bit of gryphonne sephia washing... (the yellow one, think that's what it's called)

Here's a work in progres pic of my rune priest in terminator armor. The right shoulder pad has 2mm runes from Secret Weapon Miniatures.

I really like their Runic Mountain Bases as well, i've used one of them in the Grey Hunter posted above.

It's a pity the pic's didn't come out better, it looks pretty sweet in person, just need to add some highlights.

gallery_55320_6499_37593.jpg

And last pic for the evening, from a thread arround here about The Chooser of the Slain, I whipped this guy up from the Dryad Box from the Fantasy range, I've also made up another one with the raven from the Empire General box it's the bird standing on the shield, but this was after I'd taken pictures.

I'll try and snap a pic of the othe one with in the next few days.

and as always thanks for looking, Brother Mjollner.

Yea it's the gryphone Sephia I didn't appreciate I think i put to much of it on, left a little to much brown for my liking. I should have used Devlin Mud over the whole thing and Gryphonne Sephia in just the darkest spots I think that would have come out better.

Progress shots taken last night,

Rune priest, after looking at the pic's I realized I hadn't done his teeth, picked thoes out this morning....
