Beef
Basically I have this dred that I want to use as Bjorn the Fell-handed. I am going to a tourney and on my list Bjorn will have a TLLC (twin linked Lascannon) This model obviosly only has 2 CC weapons and the tournies needs models to be WYSIWYG. So i decided to add 2 small Lascanons, By having 2 I can at least say they are Twin linked, what I want to know is which option looks better, Option 1 with the lascannons on the shoulders (pics 1- 3) Or Option 2 with the lascannons under the claws. (pics 4-6) OK so lets ignore the practicality or realism of them being mounted under the claws which looks better asthetically. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g320/vittorio_13/IMG00281-20110917-0808.jpg http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g320/vittorio_13/IMG00283-20110917-0809.jpg http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g320/vittorio_13/IMG00282-20110917-0808.jpg http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g320/vittorio_13/IMG00284-20110917-0809.jpg http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g320/vittorio_13/IMG00285-20110917-0810.jpg http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g320/vittorio_13/IMG00286-20110917-0810.jpg If anybodies interested here the thread where i painted this dred and another FW dred up. http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.p...howtopic=236078 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/238583-which-setup-looks-better-on-my-sw-dred/ Share on other sites
dizzy-xc
looks ridiculous and not very practical mounted under the CCW. How you supposed to grab anyone with those pinchers when that lasgun tip nudges them outta the way? Edit: I see that tyranid spore pod behind the DN. Looks kinda like an orange. :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/238583-which-setup-looks-better-on-my-sw-dred/#findComment-2877875 Share on other sites
Dr von Hohenheim
Putting them on the shoulders looks good. He'd break the under-claw ones when he got into combat. Beef
I understand that the lascannons under the claws would be impractical from a realism point, BUT just on looks which setup looks better?? I am not bothered by realism just what looks better. Tsuro
I know you're not bothered by realism, but when I saw the underslung guns my first thought was that they would dig into the ground if he lowered his arms. That aside I still think they look better up top Tsuro Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/238583-which-setup-looks-better-on-my-sw-dred/#findComment-2877913 Share on other sites
the Fell Hand
In this case the unrealistic forces it to look worse, +1 for on the shoulder! ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/238583-which-setup-looks-better-on-my-sw-dred/#findComment-2879163 Share on other sites
