Maligoare
Ordo Xenos Inquisitor (Coteaz counts-as) This is something I have wanted to do since the new Grey Knights came out, but it was only recently that I hit upon the idea of using stealth suit legs. I was having a hard time working out what to use in place of Coteaz's Psyber Eagle, and though I would take some more Tau influence in the form of the Spyrer suits from Necromunda. On the Patriarch Rig, I found what I was looking for - a pair of high powered multi shot laser mechadentrites. A few bits later, and voila! http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/5962/coteazcountsasfront.jpg http://img708.imageshack.us/img708/6850/coteazcountsasleft.jpg http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/2049/coteazcountsasrear.jpg http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/9485/coteazcountsasright.jpg The next problem: what colours do I paint him? Deathwatch Black and Silver Coteaz Gold Silver version of Coteaz Something else entirely What do you think? Warsmith Aznable
That is certainly a different idea. I would go with the Death Watch black and silver, that way the Imperial bits could stand out against the black main color, which would help balance the radical heresy of the xenoform armor. Azatoth
Takes out flamer. Do not suffer the mutant to live! Interesting conversion. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/238615-spyrer-inspired-inquisitor/#findComment-2878559 Share on other sites
Ch@oZ
I don't see how the stealth suit legs would be comfortable to walk in- unless he's used to wearing high heels (or has bionic legs?), but despite that the conversion is very innovative and I can't wait to see more. My other concern is- he only has a bolt pistol mounted on his wrist- wouldn't the grey knights, each having a storm bolter+ammo in the same spot, laugh at this puny weapon? Slyen
The legs don't do it for me. They just seem out of place compared to the rest. I like the use of the arms though and the wired lasers to represent the psyber eagle, but the legs just don't mesh up as well. Maybe use one of the older marks of armor that Forgeworld has put out? I think the Mk. 5 legs standing legs would look nice with the rest of it. The only other concern I have is that the hammer seems really long. So much so that it dominates the model's front. Could just be a matter of reposing though. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/238615-spyrer-inspired-inquisitor/#findComment-2878577 Share on other sites
Leonidus
Switch out the hooves for some more marine like feet. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/238615-spyrer-inspired-inquisitor/#findComment-2879508 Share on other sites
Octavulg
I'd say fill the cleft in the hooves, to make it a little less Tauy/Beastmany. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/238615-spyrer-inspired-inquisitor/#findComment-2879518 Share on other sites
A17roolz
Yeah, have to say fluff-wise, the hooves look bad in my honest opinion. Makes him look... dare I say it? Xenos...
