Machinator,

How are the jetbikes coming along? Haven't seen any updates in a while.

Looking foeward to see how they are looking.

I should have some updates in the next week or two. I have another commission I need to get out of the way first then I'll be back to the bikes.

I'm actually a little jealous. Some fine work you done there. What are the materials you work with? Green Stuff?

Thanks :P This project is mostly just plasticard and green stuff with a few lathe turned pieces.

Next up I have to make the first set of molds so that I can make enough copies for the production molds. With any luck these will be in my store in early December.

Me likey scratch build! Stellar work.

Thank you for giving me some ideas for the feel that I want from my future air support. I'm planning an F-22 inspired Chaos jet, and these give me an idea now to make one that 'looks 40K'.

Can't wait to see how this develops.

The first set of prototype molds is complete but they is still some tweaking and clean-up to do before I make the production molds. However, here is a fully assembled one to give you an idea how they look:

The Talon Assault Speeder:

at the onset of this thread, I was slightly underwhelmed. Now, I whole hearted admit that these are AWESOME! My apologies for doubting the awesome-ness of your jet bikes...

Beautiful! The first one looks like a combat model while the second looks more like a recon model. I soooooo want them.

Nah, the combat version is still to come. Think two man version ;)

Thanks, and no worries. I doubt myself all the time, especially my sanity :)

I doubt myself all the time, especially my sanity ;)

I know that feeling only too well. Half your brain is saying "Are you mad, does it need to be that complex?!" and the other half is wondering if all the putty work is clean. It's really nice when you can prime or cast it, and see that it all worked out.

Very nice work. I can't wait to see the 'combat' version. Will it be a 'side-car' style, or 'in-line' setup for the gunner?

The riders of the combat speeder (?) will be in-line. There will be an armored area behind the pilot for a figure to stand kind of like a chariot.

Love those bikes...they look so...Custodes like...<looks at his current project>

I see where you are going to offer these on your site and all I can say is I hope you have plenty in stock when they go on sale. I think you've filled a long standing need.

Considering I was quick to add criticism (although hopefully it was taken constructively) I feel obliged to come out and say...

That. Looks. Amazing. Really good work there with the plasticard, I was impressed to see it like that, let alone after turning those into a proper resin model is really good.

Mako version looks a bit classic Battlestar Galactica.

No worries OptiMAT, all is good and thanks for the comments.

It's funny you mention BSG, I actually did use some pics of the new Battlestar Pegasus as inspiration for the Mako ;)
