brunner128
Again I just want to start off by saying that if I missed a thread which answers my question I do apologize. I ordered a deathwatch conversion kit and I was wondering how I can attach the bolter to my space marines. I still have several ultramarines that I have not put together and I was planning on using them. I looked and I could not find any "open" hands to go around the handle of the bolter (basically holding the bolter). I have plenty of the "cupped" hands which holds the bolter in the front part. I do have several hands that already have a handle molded into it with a finger on the trigger. I'm wondering if I would have to cut the handle of the bolter off and attach the hand that way or is there a simpler way of doing it? Again thank you for all the great information on the site. KaosRaptor
Haha yeah, I was confused when I started out too. You're right, you have to cut the bolter handle off each time. It's not bad though, two cuts with some clippers and you're done :) The main reason the handles are left on really is so they can be used in other positions - marines throwing a grenade with one hand, holding the bolter by the foregrip in the other, for example. Hope that helps. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/238700-bolter-question/#findComment-2879236 Share on other sites
chromedog
You have to cut the handgrip off the bolters and glue to the hands that grab onto that part. The open hands are to cradle the bolters, flamers, meltas, etc (they are designed to fit the foregrip).
