Aki27 Posted September 19, 2011 Share Posted September 19, 2011 When the Grey Knights Nemesis Dreadknight was released, I knew there would be a lot of gamers who would convert it into either Ork deffdreads or Chaos Daemon Princes. I recently began an Iron Warriors army, however I wanted to do something different with them. Although they're siege specialists I wanted to emphasize technology as the running theme in the force. And because the dreadknight was too good to ignore, I decided to convert it into an "Iron Prince" that would count as a daemon prince. The idea is that this warsmith had lost his arms and legs during a battle. Refusing to be entombed inside a dreadnought, he was hardwired to a salvaged dreadknight instead. There was a total of 24 hours of conversion work and 8 hours of painting. Sorry about the slightly blurred images. I'm not the greatest at taking pictures. I too, play Iron Warriors and bought a Dread Knight but wasn't 100% sure if I was going to corrupt it. I am surprised there aren't many more 'Iron Princes' or others. Send more pictures if you can. My ONLY critique is maybe he should have like a giant chainfist or something as powerfists, thunder hammers & chainfists all seem to yell siege warfare to me, which is why I use all the above in my Imperial Fists army. Several members at my local gaming club suggested I use the Defiler arms, however I felt it would look too lanky and take away the imagery of the conversion. The only other model in the army that is finished is a champion modelling from a Techmarine. Though, I am in the process of converting a female Iron Warrior champion based on a picture I drew. (It's in the WIP under "Chaos Sisters".) I'll aim to add more pics in the next couple of days. Tanith Ghost, feel free to loot ideas from the Iron Prince.
