For much time now i have been contemplating a chaos renegade army and after much deliberation and though, mixed with discussion on the Ultra forum i have decided to make a WIP blog of my chaos Ultramarines. I only have a few painted at the moment as i'm juggling many balls at the moment but i will try and do regular updates as i have stolen my girlfriends camera for the time being. What I do is try to paint over it as much as possible, and use PVC glue, or any adhesive that has a shiny coat as a result. PVC i prefer, and paint the entire pad, not the trimmings though. Dark Rage Posted September 21, 2011 Share Posted September 21, 2011 Really like the whole idea of renegade ultra's and they look really good, as Grotsmasha said about defacing the ultramarine emblem I agree maybe a red chaos cross next to the emblem but the crosses in the other areas do make it clear they are chaos. As for the head i think i may go for a red, either a really fiery one or a really dark red. I shall try and get the squad done, and i've started my red corsair terminator allies. It'd be interesting if you managed to creatively deface the Ultramarines symbol, though: enough scarring to revert it into a crude eight-pointed star, perhaps?
