Looking for Info on Consecrators

Claws of Corax

Recommended Posts

Well I guess a good way to start is the C:DAs. There is a small passage on p.75. This is all I'm aware of but is enough to get your imagination going...

There are also two dedicated threads that I am aware of:

EPK's Consecrator's thread that was a huge inspiration for me and Captain Semper's Consecrator's thread which is my own take on the theme...

Hope to see you stuff soon :(

The Deathwatch RPG books (specifically the Rites of Battle) also have some information on the Consecrators.

I did an unofficial piece to give them a bit more of a unique personality. Link is in the sig. Other than that, they have a lot of open areas to let your mind wander.

The Deathwatch RPG books (specifically the Rites of Battle) also have some information on the Consecrators.

Thats what started the interest. I have a Consecrator Kill Marine who uses every opportunity to slip off and conduct his own secret (Dark Angel) Mission. He is also trying to rendeyvouz with any other Consecrators out there to return a sacred reliic (Sword of Dark Angel origin but no other known provenence) he recovered in game.

That aside. Thank you for the links. I was more wondering about Founding dates and notable characters..

Coincidentely my own Chapter (Claws of Corax) share a very similar paint scheme.. Hmm Ideas form to trash my chapter to use them as Consecrators.. Good or Bad idea?

Well what places Consecrators apart visually is the older types of armour and equipment. The paint scheme is really straight forward... I don't know how your Chapter looks exactly so can not advise, but if you post some pics or a link, that'll be helpful ^_^.

BTW no founding date is availble but the first recorded sighting was the 3rd century M40.

Thanks for the nod Captain Semper! I did a bit of thinking here and there in that thread on Consecrators attributes and such.

Claws of Corax, I think as an RPG character you picked a great chapter actually - mainly because there isn't a lot to go by about Consecrators so you can embellish and create much of your own lore that has really no fear of conflicting, yet still have the basic Dark Angel lore to build out of.

I for one was toying with the idea that Consecrators may have a higher than usual amount of Techmarines, perhaps even some sort of demi-tech marine in each squad, because of high amounts of older mk weapons and armor as well as the possibility of fielding ancient tech.

It was just a thought, not sure how people feel about it as it treading Iron Hands territory. Yet, if the Legion was ever officially reunited with the coming of the Lion, what a great resource would the Consecrators be as a chapter of Tech-savy marines to serve the Legion.

DA's have the ability to be a Tech heavy army anyway, with our "Up to one Tech per non-bike vehicle" force org chart limit, that's up to 13 techies (and gun servitor squads) that stand aside from the force org chart. It'd be expensive points wise tho.

I only own 3 techies without squads... ;)

Well that just makes me want to turn my Chapter into Consecrators all the more..

I have lots ot Techs and Dreadnaughts in a Drop Pod force.. Dont have much that could be Ravenwing or Deathwing...

Do you Sons of the Lion think I should join your ranks?

Claws

Sure, come aboard!

But keep in mind that DW and RW are kind of signature formations for a DA force. I think you'll eventually need to add some elements of both to your army.

Having said that, I'm sorry to see a Raven Guard army go... I have a soft spot for Corax' boys.
