Necron Hunters?

Not completely true, there is nothing anywhere (from what i've read) that dictates you can't have female space marines. Heck I even have a female Crimson Fists Captain!

Okay. Before this thread devolves into a popular topic to debate, I'd like to suggest that you head over to the Amicus forum and run a search for female space marine. Here's the summary: canon is that the process of space marine conversion works exclusively on male humans, so you can have a woman in power armor who's highly trained, but she won't be a genetically modified super solider. However, if you choose to bend the "canon" to your will (as A D-B has said, "There is no canon.") you're perfectly within your rights to do so...they're your toy soldiers, after all.

Cheers for that.

On the topic of the Grey Knights again, I'm stating to agree with Wycked. There would have to be alot more GK to deal with both Daemons and Necrons. It is a great idea. Maybe it could be an Ordo Xenos Chapter. Charged with dealing with cron incursions. While keeping to the GK codex make the fluff your own as you said and think of a new colour scheme and heraldry, and name. That would be epic. I'm sorry I can't think of any names right now though. Good luck with your army and all that.

Just to rain on your parade but the Necron are not Daemons and necron bodies vanish this includes heads.

Oh and the "intimidation factor" is really in your head. if your silver marines have some silver heads on them and this rattles them and they do not point out necron corpses phase out I would find someone else to play because well I have to say the person will not likely to be a good game.

Just to rain on your parade in the chaos tank sprue there is a spike with a necron head on it.... and until matt ward wrote grey knights daemons used to just "phase out" and return to the warp but now they leave bodies behind....

And really, they're not actually blind. They can see even better with their enhanced psychic powers by all accounts. Their eyes could be replaced, if they cared.

That said, I'm pretty sure GK do not undergo this ritual.

I'm wondering where the idea came from in the first place. Was it Index Astartes: Grey Knights, and phrased as rumour rather than fact?

my story will be

My GK have a friend, it is a farseer. The only reason they are friends is it came to my GK and gave them a glimpse of the future. The future they saw was FULL of pesky undead robots. So disturbing was this vision that a quest was immediately drawn up. We must destroy those evil machines!

and yes, GK's PREFERRED enemy is Chaos, but do you honestly think they would pass up any opportunity to kill? They are born killers, and killers kill.

also, I imagine I will be playing a lot of Necrons, so why the hell not make Necron Hunters?
