Faulkner
Just thought it would be fun to see what model everyone is most proud of. We have all spent hours slaving over these guys, spilling no small amount of paint, sweat and blood (metal minis striking back!) So who in your army stands out, who is your greatest creation? For me it has to be my captain and chaplain. The captain is an emperors champion with the back pack from the AOBR HQ and the chaplain is a standard JP model, the pride is that the chaplain was the first mini I finished to what I accept as an awesome standard, and the captain just feels like my personal image of what a marine should be, vanilla pose and all:-) http://i1177.photobucket.com/albums/x348/Faulkner3/6b6a4433.jpg http://i1177.photobucket.com/albums/x348/Faulkner3/2434b41d.jpg Captain Vol'Kash of the Salamanders http://i1177.photobucket.com/albums/x348/Faulkner3/cb2732a2.jpg http://i1177.photobucket.com/albums/x348/Faulkner3/6edb6d43.jpg Chaplain Heastu (rather proud of the writing on his scroll) Hope this is the right forum! These guys won't win a Golden Demon but they're mine:-) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/238958-what-model-are-you-most-proud-of/ Share on other sites
Gunslinger87
Im most proud of my two HQ choices: Calgar and Cassius. However, while trying to take them to the UK for Uni, both models got really banged up (I had them in my hand luggage but didnt count with the fact the bus driver would just throw the bags in the bus... so after surviving a plane flight, they got broken just an hour from Uni... grrr) so it will take a very long time before they look anywhere close to what I remember them. Maybe once Ive assembled them at the very least you can see what such a disaster looks like... swampyseifer
Oddly (as mainly being an SM player) I painted the ork warboss from AOBR boxset... it was the first model where I went to the detail of drybrushing, shading and blending... its amazing how much better these 3 simple(ish) additions make a model look! Grotsmasha
@ Faulkner: They be some really nice mini's dude. I've two, each are from awhile back when I actually painted some of the stuff I bought.... 1st up we've a Fire Hawk/LoTD Captain Then 2nd up, an Inquisitor scale Terminator ... I'm fairly sure that any "sculpting on this guy is......ahhhhh......blu tac......I'd never even heard of GS when I made this guy.
