Ashex
Hey everyone this is my first post on this site anyways I'm new to the power armor armies of 40k I have played Imperial Guard for a few years now and wanted to expand my game. I decided I wanted to try a Space Marine army and after thinking about it I picked the Space Wolves. I like the barbaric attitude they bring and the models themselves have that different look to them from other chapters. I'm not the best painter but I have decied to paint this army in a casual and patient mannor rather than buying a million things and trying to rush the job of careful assembly and painting (kinda how i got towards the end of my IG build lol) So I started the other day by giving my friend 5 bucks for his AoBR dreadnaought and then buying some different weapons for it. I also have a battle force to start with and a Space Marine Commander that I purchased with the GW Space Wolves bitz pack. The color sceem I am using is a little darker than normal Space Wolves Grey but I like it that way so thats how im doin it :P. All the paints being used are GW I wont go into listing them but if you wana know exactly message me and I'll let you know. I am also using an Airbrush and when it is used the paints are thinned out with a 50-50 mix using windex. I wish i had taken some before and after shots of the dreadnought before I started detailing it but I have a few pics let me know what you guys think Ide love feed back or any tips that could be offered. Enjoy and thanks, http://i1178.photobucket.com/albums/x376/Ashex3/2011-09-19_180346.jpg http://i1178.photobucket.com/albums/x376/Ashex3/2011-09-24_135327.jpg http://i1178.photobucket.com/albums/x376/Ashex3/2011-09-24_135356.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/239045-my-space-wolves-project/ Share on other sites
Leonidus
Good start! Just a teeny bit of advice though: Thin your paints! ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/239045-my-space-wolves-project/#findComment-2884357 Share on other sites
styygens
Yes, thin your paints, and work to be tidy with the edges. Go back and paint over stray marks. But... Your photo background is fantastic! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/239045-my-space-wolves-project/#findComment-2884389 Share on other sites

Ashex
My commander with his wolves! I found these wolf models online there awesome! My commander has a frost axe and i decided to go with a bronze metallic instead of gold the gold looked to gaudy to me when i put it on another model I like how the bronze came out though. I still have to work on thinning out my paints my next few models should look a bit better I hope. http://i1178.photobucket.com/albums/x376/Ashex3/2011-09-25_114854.jpg http://i1178.photobucket.com/albums/x376/Ashex3/2011-09-25_115039.jpg http://i1178.photobucket.com/albums/x376/Ashex3/2011-09-25_115126.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/239045-my-space-wolves-project/#findComment-2884778 Share on other sites
