TWC from Mournfangs

No i think the head looks wolfish enough, I just want to see how you manage with the legs.

fair enough wolf brother, it was just the first picture that took me to that opinion. Now that I look at the work more, while googled Skaven/Rat Ogres. The work again IMHO is similar, but tends to lean more towards a hyena. All that said, it's still a very impressive conversion, one of the best I've seen not to mention remarkable painting.

No, I can see where Mav's coming from. (Welcome back, btw!) The Mournfang head isn't the greatest to work from in order to make a thunderwolf skull, especially its cat-like hyena-ish structure. While working on them, I've had to tweak here and there to keep them from looking like ork boars, which I hope was successful enough.

It's not as pointed a muzzle as a standard wolf's would be, but I'm ok with that. I wanted to mimic the GW style, and all I have to go on is the Canis model, whose skull is fairly wide in its own right. I am also of the belief that the Thunderwolf is NOT just a giant grey wolf and should look anatomically different in some areas (which is why I've always accepted the Canis model). I've never liked all of the current 3rd party sculpts because of this and is what inspired me to try out mournfangs.

(Hoping the legs come in the mail today!)

First off, this conversion is really good, I think they look awesome. I can't wait to see the finished models. Secondly, going along with what MaveriK said, I can see where he sees that. But one thing I would like to point out and one thing that I think will help make the wolves look more realistic is if you have the wolves teeth showing more, but keeping the ridges on the nose they will look much more like Wolves and make u less think of a Rat. This is more of what I am talking about...
