Predator as Razorback?

I have considered using the BAAL Predator as an assault cannon Razorback, and possibly also a standard Predator as a Lascannon Razorback (both without the side-sponsons; of course!) since they both have a better appearance than the standard turret (IMO)... is there some problems with that?

I'm not certain how it works out, but My only concern is that the turret for the Predator might be "longer" giving you an advantage. In addition it is probably an issue for tournaments because you can use predators without their sponsons, so this could be confusing. NOw the Baal pred in a SW army might be able to be a go because you cannot have one.
Seeing as there is no official assault cannon turret for razorbacks I see no problem with it. In fact it sounds like a pretty cool idea... I never was a fan of the automated weapon sitting on top, I prefer the old school style with a gunner sitting in a turret.

My Razors are converted in the same way, I use pred turrets instead of the standard razor ones. They give a more streamlined appearance for a transport.

EVERY game someone asks me about it, but once its cleared up there isnt a problem. Mine are currently unpainted but once they are in my SW colour scheme I don't imagine there will be a problem.

no problem at all, just let your opponent know beforehand. I have done this before, and have played against people who have done the same thing. No biggie. The most important thing is being upfront with your opponent and let them know up front what everything is
Certain weapon options it's pretty obvious it's a back, not a pred. EG: assault cannons, heavy bolters, las/plas, heavy flamers. The only one that would get confusing is the twin las configuration. I can't see anyone getting confused w/ anything other than the TLLC honestly & if they get confused as to why a predator has any of those weapons options AFTER they've been informed otherwise then I don't think they're worth playing again as they'll probably conveniently forget rules that are beneficial to you in their army.
