winterdyne
Not my work personally, but arranged through me, don't think Andy's a member here. More shots to follow as he completes: http://www.winterdyne.co.uk/Andy/BA-01.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/239456-commission-blood-angels-army-part-one/ Share on other sites

Tyrannicide
Very unique bases and the plasma glows are extremely well done. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/239456-commission-blood-angels-army-part-one/#findComment-2888880 Share on other sites

winterdyne
I'll pass on the kind comments. Just to reiterate, this was painted by Andy, not me (Maz). But yes, it is pretty isn't it? MagicMan
They're gorgeous. The bases especially are very cool. They remind me of the bases you used on those BA Terminators. Zincite
Very nice. I love the stubble, a very nice touch. What else is in the commission, do you know? winterdyne
Oh, lots of stuff, this is just a fraction of the whole job - there's 2 'Ravens, 2 Speeders, 2 Predators, for example. Hopefully Andy'll get some decent pics done before shipping. The client's requested a follow up job too, with a load more vehicles and some Terminators... Brother Valerius
Wow, this is great work. How much does it cost to commission a whole army like this? winterdyne
There's a pricing guide on the winterdyne commission modelling blog (link in my sig), which is pretty close to the mark for most things. In addition to those, the client specified a 10-15% additional conversion budget for magnetising the Storm Ravens, reposes etc. From the armies we've done to date, things tend to work out at around £1500 - £2000 in work for an 'average', circa 1750 point size army, to our standard 'premium tabletop' level. Ugh, that sounds pretentious, but I can't think of a better way to say it. We paint stuff that we'd be happy (as decent painters) to put on a table for a game and chat about. We also do competition grade pieces, but those are a different kettle of fish. :-) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/239456-commission-blood-angels-army-part-one/#findComment-2892295 Share on other sites
plasman
The librarian is top notch, with some very smooth zenithal lighting. Great job, you can congratulate your friend Andy. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/239456-commission-blood-angels-army-part-one/#findComment-2892334 Share on other sites
Olgerth Istaarn
I like the Sanguinary Guard. The gold is lovely, yet not obnoxious.
