Transparent/Clear 25mm bases

Are those 25 mm, or the normal 30 mm flying bases they've used for ages?

If you have access to a lathe you could buy 30 mm ones and remove 5 mm, but this won't be an option for everyone ;)

I thought the ones on Gargoyles were smaller than the normal ones but I maybe wrong.

This might fall into the category of dupes, but what about taking a mold-making material and casting your own solid bases out of clear resin? The only drawback I can see is discoloration from where you super-glued the model to the base, and/or the pin showing if you have to pin something down.
I am more looking for 25mm bases that look like the normal "black" 25mm base that GW supply but transparent

Honestly, I'd love some of those too, but I'm fairly sure they don't exist.

I am sure at Games Day someone had their troops in an Armies on Parade board on clear bases. I remember specifically making a comment that they looked cool to my buddy with me.

Maybe these will help: Warmill

(Not my site and I've never gotten anything from them so I can't endorse or vouch for them, but I stumbled onto the site)

One more time: clear acrylic 25mm bases at above link. Hope that's what you were looking for.

It may be more cost effective if you plan to do a whole army of them to approach a signmaking company or similar with CNC or lasercutting facilities. Lasercutting should be pretty cheap but you'll end up with an almost square edge thats polished straight off the machine. If you want a curved or bevelled edge then you would have to use a CNC and pay for flame polished edges. That will be more pricey but at £5 for a pack of 3 im sure it would be cheaper to get someone to make you 50 on a machine.

As darth-giles said preveiously. Casting with a clear resin is also an alternative if you plan to use a lot of bases, although you may end up with bubbles and such and you may end up doing a bit of wet and drying/polishing to get them nice and shiney.

Just had a look-see at your stuff, brother, and I'm definately bookmarking your site (with a view to purchase later, of course). Those aquila bases look pretty neat - good for display-work.

Hail and welcome to B&C, by the way.
