So this would basicly be as they begin their fall to Chaos, so Im using some Imperial bits and pieces and some Chaos stuff to give it a nice mix. I am going with the Purple and Gold colors of Pre-Heresy. No sonic weapons yet or any of that biz. Here is the start, I will try to keep this updated as time goes on. Very simple pics here with just the beginning of the purple. Yes, I prefer to do the painting on these type of bases, then paint up bases, then transfer them. I have to second Natanael though, that green and purple looks just a little AL, but I think it would be an easy fix. Maybe try a little bit lighter hue, but without going full on Scorpion Green.
