Quick note. I Llike the first couple sentences, but that was all I could read due to the formatting/font of the article before I gave up. Extremely small and hard to read as is.

Revised for the visually impaired. :)

All jokes aside, I agree that the font was too small, Book Antiqua does have to be enlarged now and then when used on the forum.

Does anyone have any questions? Any questions about the article or the chapter's information would help me fill in any gaps left by forgetfulness.

I was thinking of writing a "Lore" section but I wouldn't know how to present it in an informative way, making it sound too "exciting" and detailed I've been told is a bad thing to do in an article.

I'd like to go into the significance of the 1st Company's moniker the "Cinderleaves" and more into the Chapter Master but how?

First off, formatting. As it is, especially with the Orange font color, it's hard to read, not to mention distracting. I think it would be best if you formatted the post using the usual forum coding.

That aside, we're given a lot of details in your post, but nothing really points to the character of your Chapter, and that's normally what we worry about most here in Liber. As it is, they're just orange-colored Salamanders. Surely that's not all there is to them.

No one has anything to say? I thought this chapter was spot on. All I have to do is start making a squad and a captain, it's that much real this time...

The sound of wings... a veiled entity, casting its chilling shadow over this unfortunate fellow... and voice, condemning all the poor lambs, "Tremble and Despair! For I have come!"...

In all honesty, your Chapter is spot on to be the orange-coloured Salamanders and nothing else...

Note that creation of your own Chapter is called DIY, which stands for Do It Yours. Now, tell me what in the above article is yours and what was copy-pasted from Index Astartes: Salamanders?

Yes, I know this was really harsh, brutal and hostile towards someone new in the Liber... well, he is not new per se... but I follow the philosophy of "The painful experience is the best teacher and unforgettable lesson.".

@Lord Eregoth

Look HERE and HERE, yes the pictures are click-able. This will give you better understanding of what is DIY.

Cheers, NightrawenII.

I also dont want a chapter that's so out of the norm that they should be called renegades. I hate extremes, GW imo has the only right to make extreme chapters like the Space Wolves, Blood Angels, Black Templars and the Relictors.

I wanted the flavor of my chapter to be in their obsession with fire and the rituals of ash.

It seems like I have to also possess photoshop or be really good with Paint and make up all kinds of markings and such.

I suppose I'll retreat back onto the drawing board.

I bloomin' hope not.

Otherwise that requirement has been kept quiet from me for two years! :)

Eeerm, Ace, you need photoshop to add your Chapter badge to the paintscheme. ;)

None of my chapters have badges added to their schemes.

In fairness, though, I haven't settled on badges for half of them.

I meant to make the point that flashy pics don't make an IA, quality writing does.

Starting with the Salamanders is a pretty good way to make an IA. Coming up with a few things to make them different can be done easily by working out what sort of personality you want the average marine in the chapter to have, and maybe adding in some differences from the Sallies (less dragon-type-stuff, more tribal emblems, for example, or perhaps a slightly more hardline approach to fighting, putting the deaths of enemies above the lives of civilians) and working from there.
