Greetings all. ‎

Ok having chosen a name for my chapter, I present my basic outline for my chapter. I ‎apologise for any spelling mistakes, these are still just notes so please just PM me any ‎alterations I need to make. ‎

Also comments even harsh ones will help me refine this to something quite epic. ‎

Name:‎

The Emperor's Harbingers

Origins:‎

‎•‎ ‎24th Founding ‎

‎•‎ Formed from Ultramarine Gene seed stock. ‎

‎•‎ Settled in the northern sector of the Segmentum Ultima (see homeworld for ‎more information) ‎

‎•‎ Trained by members of the Mentors Chapter. ‎

‎•‎ Battled Orks and the normal riffraff in the northern sector of the Segmentum ‎Ultramar ‎

‎•‎ The Evart Uprising, 4 companies were sent to help with a cult uprising in the ‎closest edge of the Segmentum Obscurus, most glorious and bloody ‎deployment in chapter’s history lost ½ the troops sent, but others returned with ‎many captured relics. ‎

‎•‎ First Chapter master dies, Leader of the above war becomes the new Chapter ‎master, and chapter enters a period of minor change. ‎

‎•‎ The companies stop actively hunting Orks in the area and start travelling large ‎distances, looking for heroic battles.. some companies travel to dead worlds ‎and one company retrieves a STC print out file on {Insert seim-useless object ‎thinking a tea pot or something} this is handed over the Adeptus Mechanicus. ‎

‎•‎ At the same time the fortress monastery on there home world was ‎expanded(well new levels deep under ground were dug). The new lower levels ‎were built to safly protect some items brought back from the Evart Uprising, ‎only veterans of this conflict were allowed access to this level, which currently ‎is the chapters 1st company. The librarium was also moved to this new ‎location. ‎

‎ ‎

Homeworld:‎

‎•‎ The Chapters Homeworld is a feudal world called Angora 35. The planet is ‎most a dry desert, the cities are based large underground networks carved by ‎the original settlers in the darkage of mankind. ‎

‎•‎ Since the Evart Uprising, The chapter exists very much within the famework ‎of the population, its members lead many churches to the emperor around the ‎planet, the chapter sees everyone on the planet as part of it, and it has effective ‎become the head of the feudal system, with everyone on the planet having a ‎part in there war machine, before the Evart Uprising there was a number of ‎waringing city states, that each pushed for dominance and the chapter stayed ‎clear of. ‎

‎•‎ The normal resident of Angora 35, are meek faithfull people made hard ‎though there seim-subteranian life, they are all very loyal to the chapter and ‎what they represent. ‎

‎•‎ The chapter even when on other planets constructs is bases in the traditional ‎way of the Angorans.. Mostly underground. They also do not like removing ‎there armour when in the open air.. All angorans are completely covered when ‎above ground to help protect them from the slightly hostile land. ‎

Combat Doctrine:‎

‎•‎ Per Codex Astartes

‎•‎ Limited use of Jumppacks and other flying units, marines do like to be ‎underground when possible (left over feeling from home world) ‎

‎•‎ Battle history mostly against orks, when they perfected armmored strikes to ‎kill command and control units. ‎

‎•‎ Some battle history against elder, dark and normal.. In largest battle tactically ‎moved to a seires of canyons and small passage ways used there own ‎happiness in underground situations to give them a touch more freedom than ‎the elder which helped win the day… ‎

‎•‎ Since the Evart Uprising, the number of Dreadnoughts used has plummeted, ‎more are being seen again now, no venerable units have been seen. ‎

‎ ‎

Organisation:‎

‎•‎ The Chapter is grouped in to the standard 10 companies

‎•‎ The 1st Company is called the “Illuminated” and is made up currently of ‎veterans of the Evart Uprising. Members of this company rarely leave the ‎home world as a fighting force, one or two leaves with every company as there ‎leaders. ‎

‎•‎ The specialists of the chapter (Libarians/ Chaplains) are also all considered to ‎to be part of the “Illuminated” ‎

‎•‎ The companies 6 to 9 have been reorganised in to full battle companies ‎following the Evart Uprising, initially this was because of shortages in units ‎and the need for deployment to a number of battle zones.. ‎

‎•‎ Before the Evart Uprising, the 7th and 8th company consisted of troops armed ‎for close quarter fighting, but not equipped with the jump packs and land ‎speeders that are common, the few used by the chapter all were limited to ‎these companies however. ‎

Beliefs:‎

‎•‎ Initially the chapters beliefs were similar if not the same as the ultramarines

‎•‎ ‎ After the Evart Uprising, the belief system started changing “slightly” ‎

‎•‎ Any worship of the emperor as a god, stopped and he became the example of ‎the perfect human. ‎

‎•‎ All the marines in the chapter are expected to try and become as perfect as the ‎emperor. ‎

‎•‎ The teachings of the chapter talked about the real power of the emperor, was ‎the fact he “knew” things.. and the power became knowledge is power, ‎

‎•‎ This drive for knowledge is something that has driven the heads of the chapter ‎to hunt out knowledge the univers over, and it has also been the doorway to ‎corruption.‎

More needs to be added… ‎

Geneseed: ‎

‎•‎ Chapter descended from Ultramarine geneseed, they are aware of its legacy. ‎

‎•‎ Geen-seed, is reported to be mutation free.. though recent samples have been ‎suspect as of late. ‎

‎•‎ There is some suspected mutation linked to the black carpace, as many of the ‎members of this chapter do not remove any part of there armour. ‎

Battle Cry

‎•‎ After the darkness, will come the light

Greetings all. ‎

 Be wary of your wishes, for they might be fulfilled.

Origins

‎24th Founding ‎

‎Trained by members of the Mentors Chapter.

- Mentors were created in the 26th Founding.

Battled Orks and the normal riffraff in the northern sector of the Segmentum ‎Ultramar

- Segmentum Ultima

The Evart Uprising, 4 companies were sent to help with a cult uprising in the ‎closest edge of the Segmentum Obscurus, most glorious and bloody ‎deployment in chapter’s history lost ½ the troops sent, but others returned with ‎many captured relics.

- Obscuras is on the other side of Imperium. Why so far?

- Relics captured from Chaos are destroyed on the spot. Better safe than sorry.

The companies stop actively hunting Orks in the area and start travelling large ‎distances, looking for heroic battles.. some companies travel to dead worlds ‎and one company retrieves a STC print out file on {Insert seim-useless object ‎thinking a tea pot or something} this is handed over the Adeptus Mechanicus. ‎

- The Index Astartes is not history lesson. You have to mention only the important events in Chapter history. Cause and effect principle.

At the same time the fortress monastery on there home world was ‎expanded(well new levels deep under ground were dug). The new lower levels ‎were built to safly protect some items brought back from the Evart Uprising, ‎only veterans of this conflict were allowed access to this level, which currently ‎is the chapters 1st company. The librarium was also moved to this new ‎location. ‎

- Why?

‎ ‎

Organisation:

The companies 6 to 9 have been reorganised in to full battle companies ‎following the Evart Uprising, initially this was because of shortages in units ‎and the need for deployment to a number of battle zones.. ‎

- The 6th to 9‎th "reserve" Companies are used as reinforcements for Battle "line" Companies. If the Battle Co. suffers a casualties, the marines are moved from Reserve Co.

No need to change the organisation structure.

Beliefs:‎

Any worship of the emperor as a god, stopped and he became the example of ‎the perfect human. ‎

- The Space Marines doesn't worship Emperor as God, bar some misguided lunatics, so meh.

Cheers, NightrawenII.

 Be wary of your wishes, for they might be fulfilled.

No its all good,

Origins

[- Mentors were created in the 26th Founding.

Blah, and there I was thinking I was so cool avoiding using a normal chapter :D.. this will be changed in the next draft. I need to spend some time thinking on that point.

- Obscuras is on the other side of Imperium. Why so far?

- Relics captured from Chaos are destroyed on the spot. Better safe than sorry.

-Obscuras, is next to Segmentum Ultima, and if you are in the northern section of Ultima it is a quick trip over the border.

- Relics are, normally destroyed on the spot. I will word it better to add "re-captured" to make it read less like they were walking away with Chaos stuff.

- The Index Astartes is not history lesson. You have to mention only the important events in Chapter history. Cause and effect principle.

Cool, I thought I may have taken it a step to far that way, will pull that bit on the next draft.

- Why?

I was trying to leave that as a mistery and not fully explain it. But the idear I had is that this is the point they stop beeing loyal to the imperium, almost traitors which is why the already tainted marines carried things back from the war. After they took power they started to fortify their position. This above section is related to that.. I will make it more clear.

Appart from the fact that that the other battle companies have been rebuilt and the reserve companies are still acting as full battle, which is a structure change.

Beliefs:‎

Any worship of the emperor as a god, stopped and he became the example of ‎the perfect human. ‎

- The Space Marines doesn't worship Emperor as God, bar some misguided lunatics, so meh.

True, I was trying to put the idear in that they had fallen to chaos or something, but I was a bit to wishywasy about it in places, I will try and make it clearer in the Beliefs section.

Thank you again

The Reserve Co's will never act as the Battle Co's in the first place. :)

You will reinforce the Battle Co's with marines from Reserve Co's in order to get full-status Battle Co's. The gaps in the ranks of Reserve Co's will be then refilled with marines, who have completed their training.

For example, the 3rd "battle" Company looses 5 Tactical, 3 Assault and 1 Devastator marine in battle. The 5 marines will be shifted from 6th/7th "reserve" Company, the 3 Marines will be shifted from 8th "reserve" Company, and 1 marine will be shifted from 9th "reserve" Company.

Now, the 5 marines will be shifted from 8th Company to 6th/7th Company, 8 marines will be shifted from 9th Company to 8th Company and 9 marines will be shifted from 10th Company to 9th Company.

The 10th Company is refilled periodically with new recruits.
