Iron Lord
In False Gods, Horus mentions that the Luna Wolves were supported by the White Scars and Ultramarines. And that "Only Abaddon and I walked away from the final battle with the Warboss". Sturnn
In campaing againt this Ork Empire Luna Wolves where supported by Ultramarines and White Scars but not on Ullanor. Guillman's and Khan's Legions were on the other plantes, containing major ork's forces and allowing Warmaster to strike on enemy's hq on Ullanor. In some book it was mentioned that after vicotory, Guillman was moved to other duties so he was unable to stay on celebration of victory, probobly he left or dispatched some delegation. Walter Payton
Ullanor is big. Think the Battle of Kursk rolled into Operation Overlord rolled into Jutland rolled into the Vistula-Oder Offensive. Iron Lord
I find it confusing in the extreme to think the Ultramarines were there. When Ullanor was turned into the spectacle it became, the Ultramarines were too far to attend. It doesn't quite make sense to think they got so far away in such a short amount of time. It's in False Gods, and later, in A Thousand Sons, Magnus mentions the Ultramarines and Luna Wolves as fighting there. Maybe it was Guilliman that wasn't there for the battle, and a detachment of Ultramarines that was. After all, elements of 14 legions were present at the Triumph, but only 9 Primarchs. Maybe the Ultramarines were one of the 5 Legions with Astartes present but not a Primarch? Sturnn
Yes, they were. Horus was planing this campaign with Guillman so I don't know why so many of you still saying that Ultramarines weren't there.
