Hi, I'm a long time lurker of these forums. They have provided no end of inspiration for me and I thought I'd post what meager forces I've managed to paint.

These are Imperial Fists of the 5th Company.

I have finished two tactical squads, in my mind an epic command squad (they all have storm shields bar the apothecary, and all metal), Lysander, my 5th Company Captain and a Librarian in Terminator armour and storm shield.

These guys are meant to be a little beaten up, hence the battle damage.

Also all veteran's and characters have their own heraldic shield on their armour, because I thought it looked cooler.

Anyways, any comments and criticisms welcome.

I wish the pics were a little less jumbled, but from what I can see, that's a very sharp looking group of mustard marines you got there. :D

I'm working on some IFs myself, and it's always nice to see how someone else handles them. And could we got some more pics of the Sicarious conversion?

Of course!

Here is a single shot of my Captain.

Made him using some inspiration I found on these forum's. Main body is Sicarius, with an assault terminator shield, Iron Warrior head, old school backpack, and green stuffed the tabard to make it more siege-like.

Thanks for the comments!

The yellow is done thus;

Black Undercoat

Deneb Stone coat

Golden Yellow, two thin coats

Devlan Mud Wash into recesses

Build up Golden Yellow again

Sunburst yellow highlight

Light wash with Gryphonne Sepia

Seems a lot more complicated than it is, but works for me. Took me a long time researching this forum to find a mix I liked.

Wow, that's awesome! *Frantically copies this down and begins priming models!*

Thanks for all the kind comments guys!

Spent a lot of time on these marines, as well as hunting and collecting all the right bits to make them look more Fisty. In particular, just from those two tactical squads, I ran out of Purity seals from my bits box.

I have been a bit busy, so have some new things painted, as well as some old ones that I got round to photographing.

Apologies in advance for the photo's, the lights tend to make it look more lighter than normal. Maybe when it is day again I'll take better photo's.

First the Librarian.

Quite happy with him, and that storm shield tends to help him stick around for awhile.

Next a Vindicator.

Then my favourite, the las/plas Razorback. Really pleased how this turned out. Didn't do too bad either in the last game. Got another I need to modernize.

Some objective markers that I've finally finished off.

Lastly the Rhino I've finished off last night for my first tactical squad.

Might have another unit finished tonight depending, trying to finish off a dreadnought that did crazy awesome in the last game.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Nearly finished my Dreadnought, so hopefully in the next few days I can get a pick of him here.

In the meantime, this a closer pick of my command squad.

I wanted them to be all metal, as all my sergeants are metal. They all have their own heraldry as well. They were made with the Space Marine veterans MK2 box.

Had to cut off all the bolt pistols and plasma pistols, as they were molded to the body, other than that, just easy kitbash, and gave them all storm shields.

The apothecary is an old metal model.

The banner itself is the Grey Knight Terminator banner, as when I saw it I knew it would be prefect for my command squad.

First up the command squad.

And the aforementioned Standard Bearer.

lol Great to hear!

I'm always Imperial Fists in Space Marine, even though I tend to get targeted more often than those players using dark schemes. I still can't change from yellow, too much Dorn in me.

Well I powered through to get my dreadnought finished before my next game.

He got bumped up in the painting schedule after my last game were he accounted for; An Exorcist in the first turn, 2 Penitent engines in the second and third turn, a squad of Seraphim that strayed too close, and finally to cap things off, rescued my Librarian from a 20 strong unit of Battle sisters by charging in and running them all down in a turn. All in all, quite impressed. My Assault Terminators could learn a few things from him.

So I introduce, Ancient Auron.

@tiny sam - I decided early on that I wanted all my Sergeants and characters to be metal. Its just a weight thing really, and the detail on metal models tends to be more crisp. I wanted my command squad all metal, just because it would be unique, and I really liked the MK2 veterans and wanted to use them somewhere.

That and I hate myself enough to try and convert metal models all the time, without a dremel....
