Imperial Fists

Thanks Battle-Brother Ludovic.

Finished my last speeder for the squadron. Tried to make each driver do something different with their free arm, so in this case he is giving the thumbs up to a buddy after smoking some traitor scum.

Hope you like. Also included a pic of all the speeders together.

As always c&c welcome, and Merry Christmas.

@shaw3029 Thanks for the kind words. Means a lot coming from you, since your partly responsible for this rabble

@Cain Tiberius Kondrad Cheers, that's what I like to hear! Can't have too many Fists! Since I'm doing the LPC challenge, there will be a bit to add here when there done. Almost finished a scout squad, then an Iron clad and finally some terminators. Then I think there will be an Imperial Fist painting challenge in the Index Astartes sub-forum. No rest for the wicked!

Since I'm doing the LPC, I'll be adding the finished models here. First up is my scout squad.

Originally I had the plastic ones, and although the models are okay, I still prefer the old metal ones. Since this is my first scout squad, I wanted them all with sniper rifles, as they are the only unit in the codex that can get them, as well as maybe in the future in a narrative game, they can be a kill team or something, clearing the way for the rest of the army (likein an old 3rd Ed mission).

This is also the first time that I've tried freehanding the chapter badge on these guys, and I'm aware they may not be great, but I got to start somewhere. I can always come back to them at some stage.

Any c&c welcome. Next up, and Ironclad.

Just a quick question: how do you paint your skin? The Librarian's skin is really well done and I would like to try and replicate ot, if possible :)

And as said in your LPC thread, your Scouts are terrific :D

Hmmm, good question. I believe I did it this way...

Dwarf flesh, two coats.

Devlan Mud wash

Highlight Dwarf flesh on the upper areas.

extreme highlight with elf flesh on the tips, wherever the light will hit.

Pretty sure I did it that way, I always do skin a little different for variety, or depending on time.

Well, I've completed my LPC vow, and thought I might as well add the pics here as well. Here is my finished Iron clad and assault terminators. Not too sure what to work on next, be it more terminators or my Vulkan. Whatever it be the finished results will be here for all to see eventually.

For the time being, enjoy.

@AlexCrute Cheers :D

@Battle-Brother Ludovic Thanks Ludovic, good luck with yours!

@Olisredan I certainly do! Thanks for the kind words.

@Lysandestolpe Cheers, thanks for the kind words.

@khalifah Thanks, the battle damage on all the marines and vehicles, is done with charadon granite, then followed up with chainmail, making sure that there is still some charadon showing at the edges of the battle damage. Takes a bit of practice, but looks better with lots of small nicks rather a than a few big ones.

@Nards08 Cheers. Just a little practice is all it takes really. The hard part was finding a yellow recipe I liked. Everything is done by the brush. I did use the forgeworld weathering powders for the tanks and the troops however.

@Battle-Brother Ludovic Cheers, its about time I did something yellow. Looks like it might very well be the boarding marines from the cover of Shadows of Treachery.
