4 Wolf Gaurd in TDA finished

Beef

Obviously the bases need doing, will do the whole lot in bulk before the tournie on 14th Oct. Arjack is 80% complete and I will post him up in a few days.

The guy with the AC served in the deathwatch.

I really need to take better pics in natural sunlight. Once the whole army is based and ready I will do so.

Looks great Beef! Only have one small comment. The wolf head on the end of the Assault Cannon. With the line of the barrel it would look like the round would fire from the top of the head or between the eyes. I think it's mostly with the down slope of the face. If the wolf's muzzle were parallel to the table top I don't think it would have looked as odd.

My two bits.

It looks odd, yes, but if you look more closely, it's one of the side barrels you're seeing clearly, the bottom barrel is hard to see but is in line w/ the mouth so if he were to drill it out it'd be just fine. So it's just an optical illusion lol.

Beef, are you using daylight bulbs? I find it helps alot when photographing around here since the sun doesn't shine for the better part of the year lol.

Those are amazing! I especially like the wolf head at the end of the assault cannon, a rather nice touch.

That's actually the part that I like the least. The weapon no longer looks like it's operable.

I agree with the "functionality" aspect. It doesn't look like the chambers can spin now, due to the ears of that head forcing the cylinders to jam. Also, I think it's too long. If the head were resting on the support bar, then I'd think it works better.

Hmmm... the side shot on that assault cannon doesn't look so nice, but the front shot, while blurry, definitely looks fearsome. I would agree that it seems a little too long. Perhaps cutting down the barrel a bit before putting on the wolf head might have solved things. Nevertheless, looks unique to me, so I can appreciate that.

The AC looks fine to me, as the bottom barrel does line up with the wolf's mouth. I would have liked to see a hole drilled into the wolf's mouth, but I would have cut the lower jaw completely off ... that's just how I would roll :D

Not sure if drilling a hole now, would cause you more time in painting that model ...

Though I'm a shadow/depth freak, your models are looking good! :cuss

Thanks for the comments guys, I agree about the AC, I did not line it up properly. If i get time before my tournie on the weekend (just finishing Arjacks cloak amd 2 Landraiders, still need to build and paint a drop pod also) I will adjust it and drill a hole.

the parts are a mix of the new WG box and some FW SW bits thrown in.
