NatG
I was commissioned to paint a Space Wolves Dreadnought. I did not do the conversion, the dreadnought came to me converted. I just painted it and based it. You can find the YouTube video showing it here: Thanks for having a look, all comments and advice welcome. Firepower
Looks pretty wicked, and like it was a fun model to paint. The weathering and color fades are excellent. The one thing I would try to improve is the eyes. The red around the socket gives the impression of OSL, but the eye's themselves don't: they're the same base red. Adding a whiteness to make them actually seem illuminated might make a world of difference in pulling off the effect. AlexCrute
A marvel of grimdark far-future technology this, and the paintwork is marvellous. I think photos will garner you more comments. Zincite
I think this is the first Dreadnought I've seen with extended legs that actually looks good. The NMM is lovely, as are the vents on the back. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/240197-custom-space-wolves-berzerker-dreadnought/#findComment-2899413 Share on other sites
Brother Ambroz
Looks amazing but it doesn't really strike me as a Space Wolf dread though. Something Wycked
Looks amazing but it doesn't really strike me as a Space Wolf dread though. As beautiful as it is, I feel the same way. It looks more Chaosy than Space Wolf to me, probably because of how different the color is from Space Wolf Grey/Blue. Also, +1 to what Firepower said. Stunning model on the whole! :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/240197-custom-space-wolves-berzerker-dreadnought/#findComment-2899541 Share on other sites
nightlordsrock3564
is this dornian heresy or normal wolves?? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/240197-custom-space-wolves-berzerker-dreadnought/#findComment-2901100 Share on other sites
NatG
I have to agree the eyes would have worked better if I'd have gone for an orange highlight, instead of the VPA Tail light Red and VMC Vermilion colours I used. Also It could have used a couple of Runes on it. Like in the spaces on the shins. As for it's slightly ambiguous look, it is not dornian heresy / chaos. It is in fact going to be used in an Iron Wolves army. That is why it got the silver head, well that and it looks cool I guess. Thanks for all the great comments and advice, I really appreciate them. Olgerth Istaarn
OK, the bloodcrusher head is a stroke of genius. A dreadnought that can BITE YOUR HEAD off. Awesome. I'm not entirely digging the feet of it though, they look too small and thin to support all that bulk.
