New space wolf collector/player

Hiya all,

Thought I'd introduce myself, started a wolf army, tried to get into w40k 2 years ago with a dark angel army, but didn't enjoy painting them. So got out of it again, just started again and this time with the space wolves. Really enjoying painting them so far.

Got a pic of my 2nd finished model of my first grey hunter squad, my first model was ruined ( in my opinion ) by my top coating skills, and I'll probably have to repaint him. Pic isn't great quality I'll try to get some better shots. Naming him Alexus in honour of girlpainting who really helped with her tutorials.

Thought I'd start on a 750 point army of a rune priest with 2 grey hunter units with a WG and rhino ( and some other stuff ) and a dreadnought cause I absolutely love dreadnoughts ;-) and a unit of long fangs with their WG. Any opinions on that as a starting force?

And any CC on the paint job?

Adjusted the image to try and get the details sharper ( since I can't take a new picture right now ) But to be honest, it's a bad angle to see most of the detail as well.

Oh and forgot to add, he's not topcoated yet, so the shoulder guards and backpack exhausts are still in ard'coat, that shine won't be there on the final product.

Hard to gauge with the poor lighting of the image, but from what I can tell, it's excellent shading in the face. Nice highlights for the beard, fist, and leather sheaths as well.

The list looks solid to me for 750-ish points. Got all the basics and then some.

I personally find extreme highlighting not that pretty. And it doesn't really show up on the pic, but the armour has some really nice subtle blending on it. But especially on the front there are very few areas that a highlight would appear since all the flat areas have trim around them.
