Hey there everyone, update time, not on the models sadly, but i have a bit more on the fluff, hopefully some more flaws are gone. These are still ideas, remember that.

Anyway,

My Grey knights are the remains of those who fought on Cavlock, as can be read in the codex, They managed to teleport out just before the bombardment started, however their strike cruiser was damaged and burned through the atmosphere of a nearby feral icy planet.

The cruiser was partly intact however, engines, communication and large weaponry were all destroyed. There were few Grey knights left and almost all of the vehicles were destroyed. The techmarines and tech priests were all dead, as well as all the servitors. The survivors had to make do on this planet, adapt their fighting styles to survive, (perhaps using fur for camouflage, or using and understanding the natural wildlife)

All of that was almost 100 years ago.

i'm still not sure on ammo, but my brother said today are there not ammo forges/ creators on the ships? which got me thinking I don't know where it is made, so is that possible?

Anyway C&Cs welcome, but please let them be constructive =p

thanks

The things in 40k so limited someone can say "never" and be right are very small- examples include there are no female Astartes, no Grey Knight has ever fallen to Chaos, and the like.

That said, I'm sure there are ships that can create ammunition. They may not be widespread, maybe not everyone has them, but they do exist. Many, if not most/all, Space Marine ships have facilities to keep the Astartes' correctly equipped. For smaller ships, this is probably just a repair/maintenance facility with spare items to replace those that might be irreparable. For larger ships, especially those owned by fleet-based Chapters, its easy to imagine they have a manufactorum on board to keep their troops in servicable gear and well-supplied with ammunition.

I'd be surprised if Grey Knight ships were not built to support a long campaign away from Titan. What will the Grey Knights on board do if they run out of ammunition mid-war? Visit the nearest manufactorum planet and requisition replacement ammunition for a fighting organization that the people on the planet have never heard of, and must be mind-wiped or purged if they do hear of the Grey Knights? I think not.

Grey Knight ships will have either 1) significant stocks of ammunition or 2) the ability to create more ammunition from stored raw materials.

I'd be surprised if Grey Knight ships were not built to support a long campaign away from Titan.

Yes, this was what i was thinking, thanks again for the reply SomethingWycked, that now solves another fluff hole, this was the ship i was thinking they would of had:

Yep strike cruisers are pretty standard for Space Marines and I supposed the Techmarines on Titan would modify them to cope with being isolated in enemy territory for long periods.

But I may point out that not all the servitors can be dead for who would work the ammo forges. Servitors tend to be wired to their systems and I think that Marines may find it hard to operate the forges.

Just my 2 cents,
