Lestat
Nice grey - they look like they are in the middle of a battle. The armour is nicely grubby. I love the Mk.3 armour - got a squad myself for my pre-heresy Blood Angels. Did you freehand the Legion badge? It's pretty well done. My only critique would be to tone down the red of the bolters a little - as it is so bright compared to the rest of the model, the eye is naturally drawn to the bolter and not he focal point of the model which is normally the face. Braiboo
thanks fellas next up im probably going to do more mk3 marines and maybe some in mk2 armour and a predator using the second edition metal parts and current plastic rhino @lestat , yeah the badge is freehand,i just painted a cross and blocked it in off that the red bolters are more of a grubby orange and bit more subtle in the flesh. cheers Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/240278-sons-of-horus/#findComment-2900331 Share on other sites

Braiboo
yeah the fluff says sea green to grey green but most of the artwork is dark charcoal grey, ive used a little artistic licence and gone dark grey with green grey shoulder pads. Brother Melice
Love the progress mate, another Pre Heresy army is what we always need, can't have too many of these you know. I do have some critique though, I'm not too fond of the grainy blending on their armor, a smoother job will improve that considerably in my opinion. But they look great, I love the gold detail on them. something is throwing me off about the lenses too, maybe red to compliment the green on the shoulders would be more appropriate, but then again, just my two cents. keep them coming Brother Brother Melice Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/240278-sons-of-horus/#findComment-2905961 Share on other sites
