Fallen Grey Knights

It's possible but not absolute proof. They would have to come right out and say it. Now if ever Alaric had shouted:

"Blood for the Blood God!"

Then yes I would agree with you. Alaric was forced to think outside the box to escape his terrible predicament. I do understand where you are coming from and you have a good case to support your position.

G

;) :D

"[inquisitor Nyxos] had probably seen just about every strange and terrible form corruption could take, but a Grey Knight who had fallen was beyond any of that."

They kinda, um, did come right out and say it.

How do you get any clearer than a 3rd person omniscient narrator stating that Alaric had fallen? ^_^

Blood Sacrifices are NOT sanctioned Imperial magics.

Ben Counter's Sacrifice short story seems to suggest that sacrificing psykers, and ordinary "pure" humans- is the main way to create the wards for GK armour- and psycannon bolts- using their blood.

Once you fall it's not like you get back up.

G :)

Sure you can. Just because most of the people who fall to Chaos continue following Chaos doesn't mean it's impossible to turn back. Heck, you could even say it's a testament to how pure the GKs are that when one falls, he can still find a way to return.

Granted, 99% of the time the Imperium will kill someone who fell even if they come back, just to be safe.

Kais, as well, from the Fire Warrior novelisation. Ok, so he went from Tau to Khorne to Tau again to comatose, but it's the same idea. He went so Khorne that he took out five Chaos Space Marines in close combat in a confined space (although admittedly, he was mostly using point-blank carbine shots rather than his fists, as far as I could tell. It's a bit of a blur, which is impressive in text).

Oh, I know. Anyone in the "penitent" category in Inquisitorial retinues. Technically, the unit was "Blank/something/Penitent Witch", but the idea was that the last group was a psyker who had fallen to chaos, then repented and was paying off his sins by acting as a psychic lightning rod to protect the Inquisitor from enemy powers.
