The Wardens Vigilant

ANCIENT FALOR

Recommended Posts

Doing a liitle fluff build up on my chapter. having a real hard time. any suggestions is appreciated. thanks.

The chapter was created during the late 35th millenium. Originating from imperial fist geneseed. Founded to secure and safe guard, valuable imperial assets. .Being fleet based. Records show the chapter being deployed throughout the imperium. From the Rubicon Straights to the Veiled Region and to the furthest edges of the emperors domain. These forces were named void companies. All under the command of first chapter master Fulgor. It was during these early times the chapter developed into extraction and termination experts. Often heading into doomed worlds to extract subjects of importance. At times going in to ensure the subjects destruction before falling into enemy hands. By 450.M36 after Fulgors enshrinement. Chapter companies become more independent.

The chapter would not fight together until participating in the Abysamal Crusade 321.M37. It is unknown if the chapter was volunteered or was one of the 30 chapters chastised by Saint Basillius. Following the crusades end. The Wardens vigilant functioned with much more cohesion. Keeping only 2 void companies. the rest of the chapter taking a loose codex stance. Claiming the world of Falconis as their base of operations in 100.M38.

The chapters records are exemplary until the disastrous Zarnax Reclamation of 950.M39 - 002.M40. only fragments are known. The bulk of the chapter assisted an inquisitorial strike force. consisting of several Red Hunters and inquisitorial storm trooper companies. To retake the besieged forge world from a daemonic incursion. Lead by Ku’laka. After the daemons banishment. Imperial forces clashed amongst each other. The forge worlds skitarri and wardens vigilant against the red hunters and inquisitorial storm troopers. Hostilities didn’t cease until 4 companies of Minotaurs and half a company of grey knights, accompanied by Imperial guard regiments forced a cease fire. Shortly after 45 battle brothers arrive on the crippled strike cruiser VENGANCEBRINGER. Bringing news of the ravaging of Falconis.

Having fought savage battles against chaos and imperial forces. The chapter was less than half streangth. The wardens were given a mighty gift by the tech priests of Zarnax. For their defence of the forge world, they were blessed with numerous holy suits of terminator armour. It was a humbling gesture to the chapter.

Finishing the investigation. The chapter is immediately re routed to the Thraxion Liberation Crusade 999.M39 - 175.M40. Seen more as a chapter death sentence than anything else. Remarkably, the chapter emerged 3 companies strong at the crusades end. Departing back to Falconis to rebuild itself.

Welcome to the Liber :D

I think that the Assassin Temples have most of the really important termination business sown up but they can't be everywhere, so there is potential. The thing is that a whole company of marines is rather a lot of force to send after one person (unless your name starts in 'A' and ends in 'baddon' :P ), since most of them seem likely to spend their time twiddling their thumbs while the others line up the shot. Maybe explain it a little more to dispel this image. The extraction angle is an interesting one and one that could be explored with great results. In a number of occasions, captured Imperial Guard officers have been rescued by Imperial Forces only to be shot by Commissars for allowing themselves to be captured. How would your guys view this? With disgust at the waste of their work or grim approval of the message sent to the troops?

What do you want this event to add to your chapter? Also, before you continue to add onto these quite nice beginnings, you should try to get a firm grasp of who they are. Why are they like this? How do they view their task? How do they view themselves, humanity and the wider Imperium? What makes them get out of bed in the morning and shoot 1000 heretics before tea?

An interesting group of concepts, there's lots of potential there <_<

For 1500 years the chapter never fought as a single entity? Ok, I'll buy that, but I suggest that you drop the year-dates later in your work. Too much detail that will only ever trip you up. Especially since your chapter apparently finds ot someone has just destroyed their homeworld (and presumably chapter fortress?) and they appear to have done nothing about it for 175 years...
