Hi everone

Well once more my Space Wolves went down to Nottingham to Warhammer World for the Throne of Skulls Oct tournament. It was a great weekend, just as great as ToS April which I hold in high term because of how brillaint it was.

There was many saga, my battle report is posted up already. I am slow recovering, loss my voice after round 2, had to use my mobile text for the oppents. A lot of like wise Scottish gamer's took away quite a lot of the awards that this event.

As per usely for me, my Space Wolves where up for Nominee for Best army, this being there fifth time in just under a year from the tournaments down in Nottingham now

Great stuff IP! I love your Space Wolves colour! How did you paint them? Real nice, great inspiration! ;)

Adeptus Battlegrey - Leave the joints/gaps in the armour black

Badab Black - I tend to also paint the metal area Boltgun metal & get the brown done before this stage. Help save time if you badab black the models when all this done.

Codex Grey - Highlight

Fortress Grey - Highlight the tips of the armour, where the light would hit it really like metal.

Highlight are needed, with this being darker armour, it need this to help draw attesion when people are seeing the army. It is also why I have the Viking rune as my spot colour in the army.

Viking Runes

Regal Blue

Ultramarine Blue

Ice Blue

Skull White - Tend be for the tanks just to help a little bit more

Red Pack markings

Mechrite Red - Base coat

Blood Red - First highlight

Blazing Orange - Second highlight

Devlan Mud

Power Weapons

Chaos Black

Dark Angels Green - Highlight

Snot Green - Highlight

Scorpion Green - Highlight

Thraka Green

In your army are u running Razorback? And how does that work rule wise to use a turret. Becouse I like your idea and it will save me money becouse I got Baal pred parts laying around and I did want to run assault cannons on one my razorbacks. Thanks

Yes I use three Razorbacks in my army. I went for Razorback as my 1500pts list would other wise struggle with the fire power to take on say Tau or to help take on units that are hold or contest my object. Or say vs Eldar, it would be really, really easy for them to fly away. As my 1500pts list dose not have the Long Fangs, I added them in as they are my 250pts element to bring army to 1750pts & give me that fire support, also it not that many models for me to carry as I got a lot of travel to these tournaments from Nottingham or local it trains, so don't want to carry to many boxies as it is.

Game wise - When people see the list & never fight me, they think I will just stay back & just fire into the oppnet, me letting them go into my lines for me to finish them off. This is far from the truth, I move all my tanks full 12 inch on turn 1. I want to get into assault, it why my list below is gear toward assault heavy as I like getting into close combat. I hate hidding, it boring & not fun. I want to be in my oppent face, I want to be the one battle on my term.

After turn 1 I will use my Razorback to give that fire support needed, trying to pick off those tanks or Dreadnought that might cause me problem.

Just I did try move my tanks 6 inch & fire on turn 1, but it was easy for my oppents to pick on them, then that was not to great for my units with in as they would be slaughter from the oppent fire power.

So as said I just like to be on the move, turn 1 alway see me move 12 inch, pop smoke & then follow turn they will give me that fire support. While my Grey Hunter will go in for the kill, kicking my oppent army in. As a friend had said from a game vs my Iron Warriors during a tournament

Insane Psychopath is quite an aggressive player btw (the way he plays not his attatude). He did not mention this but when I had 2 transports full of c-marines and a unit of c-terminators arrive 4-12" from my D-cannons almost ontop of both the centre and left objectives.... I was not a happy chappy. I have played his Marine bike army a couple of times too, and he shows the same tendancy. Which is good because there is nothing more boaring than a player that hides at the back and never comits to a do or die stratagy!.

I will alway move forward. As said nothing more boring than hidding & doing nothing. This is not the way of Leman Russ & the Allfather, it into our oppent line, fighting with honour & earn glory worth of a saga!!

Turret - There never been any issue. They are roughly the same size as the one supply with the normal Razorbacks set. I went for the Predator once as they look more like a tank to be honsty & cooler in my view & that the main thing with this arm or any army I collect. It is the conversion, my aim that tournaments in not the game side though if I do well I do well, as long as I had great games, oppent had great attuide. My main thing for the tournament has been the painting/army side. So as long as I can make a cool conversion that all at matter.

Yes that cool, that my aim with my armies & it why I like going to tournament or see the White Dwarf to get idea for future or try out on current armies. George Dellapina own Space Wolves & all other armies he done played a big part to give me idea for the conversion, along with the story from Ragnar Onmibus to the Battle for the Fang novel as well as 2nd ed & a army that was in WD 185?? By Kim due to the old school conversion.

On another note people can see my battle report by here
