Wargamer40k
ok so im not sure if i missed something or not but can grey knights fill the two hq slots with librarians? or can you only take 1? Darkmagi
Yes you may take more then one librarian. The only hq units you may only have one of at a time are the named special characters Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/240457-grey-knight-lib-question/#findComment-2902428 Share on other sites
Reclusiarch Darius
Not that you'd really wanna take two anyway, one is enough to get all the powers you need. thade
Not that you'd really wanna take two anyway, one is enough to get all the powers you need. This of course discounts how ridiculously awesome two Librarians might be. As awesome as one Librarian is, he can only be one place at any given time. I wouldn't take two all the time (I like to shake things up a bit) but I'd certainly take two some of the time. Something Wycked
Seconded. You can have two deathstars that strike at I10 with +2S and 2d6 armor penetration if you bring two Libbies that can use 3 powers each. Or imagine two Warp Rifts dropped on the same unit, etc. It is expensive and it will take up a large chunk of your force's points, but they can be very potent. Wargamer40k
i was thinking more along the lines of two lib in two stormravens carring 5 terms/ pallys each. TB to the other end of the board within 12" of eachother then cast the shrouding with both libs. your 4+ cover save from TBing just became a 2+ and now you have 10 term/pallys in the enemy base plus two flying LR (multi melta and lass) plus if you give them both tele homers now you have a front door key to warp in a DK, strike/int, ext. basically your melee gets in melee faster and safely ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/240457-grey-knight-lib-question/#findComment-2902870 Share on other sites
Something Wycked
If by "warp in" you mean The Summoning, see this thread about that issue. Â Seems like it would work, but beware an IG player with a Hydra; they'll ignore your cover save from moving Flat Out and your SR's will only benefit from a 6+ save from The Shrouding. Â Personally, to get in the enemy's face right now I'd invest the points in Interceptors and Dreadknights with teleporters instead of the Libbies, Termies, and SR's, but that's just a matter of personal preference ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/240457-grey-knight-lib-question/#findComment-2902881 Share on other sites
Wargamer40k
i read that b4 i thought of this tactic. side note its 6" not 12 :P my bad and still any save is better then no save and you dont have to worry about messing up a Deepstrick (happens to me more often then not). thats the only reason i use that tactic. Valerian
Seems like it would work, but beware an IG player with a Hydra; Â Honestly though, how many of those do you even see? I think the OP has a pretty good tactic to work on. Sure, it isn't 100% guaranteed to be effective every time, but nothing is (nor should it be). Â It's certainly worth trying for a few games to determine if you like playing that way - see if it fits with your playstyle. Wargamer40k
oh fair enough. i figured it worked like hammer hand and MoT and you could stack them. nurglez
if shrouding gave +1 to cover save then yes you could. However it doesn't, it gives stealth. USR's generally don't stack.
