LPetersson
I'm thinking of getting the bikers needed for my 'All WG Bikers' army, but we don't seem to have our own bike boxes, so do you know if the SM one comes with SW extras? I might end up getting the DA box (I know, I know, they will always die and my dice will roll 1s forever) as it seems to make sense, but would I be able to assemble normal looking marines from that box? And the same for devastators. Since we don't seem to have our own Long Fang box, are there wolfy bits in the devastator box? Torvak Kyre
No you have to get the space wolf pack to get all of the wolf bits they don't come in those sets. red_starrise
Or, depending on what gear you want, a slightly cheaper way to wolfify is this frame from GW direct order: http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m550160a_99080101004_SpaceWolvesAccessoryFrame_445x319.jpg When building my SW army I had a pair of these to work w/ as well as 3 space wolves packs, a devastator box, a wolf guard TDA pack & my bitz box & I STILL have wolf parts leftover lol. But more to the point, back in 3rd/4th a pack of grey hunters was a tac squad w/ one of these included, blood claws were tac legs & bodies, assault arms & this, long fangs were tac bodies & legs, metal heavy weapons & this. MeatGrinder
You should have a hell of a lot of spares if you have purchased any of the SW boxes. Mine are made from the dev box with whatever extras I have on hand. Wolfie heads and shoulderpads are a great way to give that wolfy look without using too many parts that go into making GHs. Chapter Master Ignis Domus
With bikes, a simple head change, plus maybe a different backpack, arm, or shoulderpad, tends to give you a really nice model. Normally, you'll have enough of these spare from the space wolf [ack. Also, always buy the Ravenwing Battleforce. It's the best way to get bikes. LoneWulfen
As said before, there is a Space Wolf sprue that GW do, you could add wolf tails, a head, weapons, different chestplates etc. And if you have purchased ANY of the current SW boxes you will have tonnes of spares you could use. As far as i'm aware there is no extras on the vanilla SM bike/devastators. Hope this helped Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/240547-wolfing-up-bikersdevastators/#findComment-2904167 Share on other sites
Valerian
Think of the Space Wolves pack boxed set as the application kit to "wolf up" all of the other standard Space Marine boxed sets. None of those other boxed set come with any of the cool bits for the non-standard Chapters, but the SW pack supplies what you need to fix them. By all means, use the Ravenwing set to put together your Swift Claws and Land Speeder. Use the Devastator set for your Long Fangs; the Scout set for your Wolf Scouts, etc. Each of these has what you need when you combine it with the unique SW-specific parts from the SW pack. alphariusomegon20
When I built my Wolves, I used parts left over from the 3 battalions I bought to make bikers, speeders, and whatnot. All it takes is a torso, head, and pad change and they look right. CainTheHunter
I placed a snarling wolf head (from WFB Goblin wolf rider box - the same most people are using for Fen.wolves) on the front tire cover. It fits quite well - just needs a bit of cutting/filing down the plastic underneath and greenstuffing the gaps.
